Put it up Sunday night.  Usually campaigns launched early in the weekend don't have much impact.  We'll be all over it Monday.  Tell the world not to have any major conference armageddon stuff take place that day.

No game on 11/8.  You probably don't need a date.  You could put a link to the donation page on your description to show where the money's going and that it's legit, plus there may be a few tucks who won't shell out for the ball but would donate a few bucks.  Once you get paid in a couple weeks, you'll go on the donation page and donate whatever you made less whatever it costs you to ship it or stuff like that.  Use a credit card that gets you miles/points.

also, good idea by trim to just have you donate the money via the BBBS link (minus your expenses) because it will be much easier to deduct from your taxes (if you itemize).

good call, not sure on the glass case, its pretty expensive and i can put in there somewhere that if it gets over 300 i will throw it in but it also houses my piece of hardwood court signed by frank (thanks user broxcore)

If you want to sell the glass case because you're trying to downsize stuff, make it so that the winner can contact you to buy it and have it shipped along with the ball.  I wouldn't expect you to donate the case money though.  Depending on what you set the price of the case for, it might help incentivize people to buy the ball.

The problem with doing that is even if somebody wants to pay $300 for the ball and case, and they bid $300, ebay will only show them with a bid of $1 more than whatever the lowest bid is.  I thought I remember either seeing an option or having bought something and then having the buyer asking me if I wanted to buy some other thing.  Do it like that if you can, and just list that you'll sell the case to the winning bidder for another $150 if they want it.
