I think we are a firm 5 seed right now.  Currently #17 in RPI, #6 in RPI SOS, Won 7 of 8 and 5 in a row, two huge quality wins, no bad losses.  Kenpom still has us at 32 which is a bit low.  Also, the committee seems to weigh the end of the season a bit more heavily than the whole body of work.  They won't completely look the other way but I think the recent play will erase some of the early season negatives.

The Cats have a Golden opportunity to play their way into a 4 or even a 3 seed.  It would take beating KU again for a 4, and probably winning the Phillips66 for the 3 (UT or no UT)
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

I guess the circumstances mitigate OSU being a bad loss and if Colorado finishes at .500 or better maybe that won't be a bad loss but I think you are painting too rosy a picture here.

I'd say we're a firm 6 right now. 5 might be a bit much yet.

Bad losses are generally considered losses to teams outside of the RPI top 100.  OSU is no great team, but they aren't terrible especially at home.  They are #61 in the RPI and closer to what would be a quality win than a bad loss.

You could be right.  I'm also assuming a win over ISU, and another in the 4/5 game in the Phillips66 (a bit much to assume, I know.)

still think a strong talking point is our preseason projections.  its really going to benefit us now.  Everyone is going to think we are finally meeting those expectations and are going to place us accordingly.   Honestly wouldn't be shocked at a 3-4 seed when the brackets are released.   :ksu:

I really really really want a high seed, but more importantly I want us to be placed in a nice region that we can pick apart. I'm not thinking we are world-beaters yet, but I think we can play with anyone. I like our chances no matter what happens. We won't get to hang a banner for our seed, I'm hoping we just find ourselves in a good position for another elite 8 run. I also don't want us to have another Xavier game on the first game of a weekend.
