Most have us on the line between first four out and next four out. We beat ISU and we’re right there but probably still need help. Two more and it’s tough to argue for keeping us out.

But again that’s cause winning 3 consecutive against the best of the Big 12 is incredibly hard to do.

No team in history with 5 Quad 1 wins and zero quad 3/4 losses has ever been left out of the tournament.

Tang’s teams are nothing if not trailblazers. Already got the record for all time D-I overtime wins, why not break the NET while we’re at it?

Went and watched all 4 games yesterday at the T-Mobile center.  What's not getting enough attention is BYU.  They came out and hit like 7 of 8 of their first three pointers, and put UCF down early.  They eventually cooled down, but man that was impressive.  BYU will be a tough out.

Well according to the NET rankings, we do have a Quad 3 loss. There are currently 30 teams with five Quad 1 wins, so not exactly a major achievement. However, there are only 17 teams with six or more, so beating ISU would put us in an entirely different category.

There are nine "bubble" teams (defined here as any team No. 35 or lower in the NET rankings) with 5 or more Q1 wins: No. 35 Clemson (5-5), No. 37 Colorado St. (5-7), No. 41 TCU (5-10), No. 43 Washington St (6-3), No. 47 Texas A&M (5-6), No. 51 Northwestern (5-6), No. 62 Providence (5-8), No. 64 Seton Hall (5-7) and No. 68 K-State (5-7).

Of that group, only Clemson and Providence do NOT have a Q3 or Q4 loss.

I think it's 99.9% likely that we need to win tonight in order to get in and I'm not sure that makes us an automatic given that the computers hate us for some reason.

Maybe we will just win this stupid tournament and get in that way.

Less than a week until the best event of the sports year begins. Could only be made better by a highly seeded Cats basketball team but still a lot to look forward to.

if i’m being objective, I don’t feel like this team belongs in the tournament. we’re just not that good of a team and we’re a team that makes a ton of mistakes/bad decisions.

that doesn’t mean we can’t take a lot from the work these guys put in and find positives to take into next year.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

i'm with you 'clams. Q1 wins are pretty much the only feather in our cap. i think we are primed for a 2 seed in the NIT

Yeah I like making the tournament but this team wasn’t gonna survive the first weekend. And there’s always a silver lining when there’s no chance of a crappy KSU showing spoiling my enjoyment of March madness.

I don't know when the last time K-State played in the NIT was, but I remember a home game against TCU in 1999 when Billy Tubbs brought Lee Nailon (formerly of Butler CC) to Bramlage and Nailon absolutely killed K-State in what was a relatively close game that we lost. That dude was a baller.

2007 for Huggy's only year and 2009 for Franks second year. I guess one nice thing about oscar was he was either good enough to dance or bad enough to miss the NIT entirely.

Yeah kind of odd it’s been that long to NIT.
