I think this team can get to 10 total conference wins. Whether that includes 10 in the regular season, or 9 in the regular season and get a W (or 2) in the conference tourney, it is tough to say, but I believe this team can get that done. I think that should be the goal, but certainly not the ceiling.

Obviously easier said than done, but our team needs to approach this 1 game at a time and make sure that we are focused and ready for each game.

Lunardi still has us in Last 4 Byes this morning. When considering the other teams competing for those last few at large spots it's hard to imagine 19 wins not being enough to get in this year.

There will be a couple of schools that make a run in their conference tournaments to get in.

Sure. Probably applies in the Valley, WCC, A10, and AAC. All four have two teams clearly above the rest. No other league will have multiple bids.

Pretty sad when we have lost 6/7 games, tied for 8th in a 10 team league, and still in the tourney....... :buh-bye:

I don't think anyone sees sure wins left, maybe a week ago but not anymore. It's just that it would take an all time pants shitting for any of these teams to go 0-5 against any of the other five. Kenpom has us going 4-1.

eff it.....I vote for a pants shitting.
I too second this

one of baylor or wvu isn't a top 25?

WVU is 28 in the RPI and 3 in kenpom. Big differential, but their OOC schedule was almost as bad as ours.

I hope we get rough ridin' hammered for our weak non-con. That kind of bullshit should not be rewarded. It doesn't help the kids, fans, or the game of college basketball. It's a chicken crap move by coaches who want to save their own necks.

I can see that, but of the teams around us, only 4 or 5 have a better SOS. I agree we should play better teams in the OOC, but that really isn't hurting us this year because the league is so good.

We should justifiably be hammered for the lack of quality wins, especially the home losses to teams like TCU and ISU. Surprisingly our road and neutral records aren't a bad thing for us right now compared to the bubble around us.

our noncon, although still super shitty, looks a little better after tenn turned themselves into a decent team and then we played them.  csu also has improved over the course of the year and doesn't look as bad now as when we played them.  i think the overall sos is still really bad, but you can pull out 2-3, maybe even 3-4 reasonable games which isn't that different than most teams in a gestalt look in.

Our losses are to a 1 seed (twice), a 2, a 4, a 6, an 8 (twice), an 11, a first four out, and next four out team. Wins over a 2, a 4, and an 8.

A couple decent wins with no really bad losses. Of course, we can still get a bad loss at OU or home vs Tech. Tech could still end up as a >100 RPI team.

i just wish we hadn't beaten baylor.  that's the one that really throws a wrench in the narrative.

Get to 9-9 and KState should be plenty good.

If you look at Lunardi 8 teams he lists as First 4 out and Next 4 out....They all are weak.
1) Tennessee 14-12/ 7-7 SEC. UK and Ksu only good wins
2)Wake Forest 15-12/ 6-9 ACC. Only 1 top 50 win
3) Clemson 14-12/ 4-10 ACC. 4 top 50 wins
4) ILL St 22-5, 2 top 100 wins & 2 losses 100+ RPI teams
5) T Tech 5-9 B12 and RPI 88
6 Indiana 5-9 B10 and RPI 90
7) Providence 6-8 BEast and RPI 67
8) Pitt 4-10 ACC and RPI 57

Even some of the last teams in --
1) Cuse has 83 RPI 2)S Hall 6-8 in BEast 3) Cal is 9-5 in P12 but only 1 significant win over USC 4) TCU is 6-8 and best win is Iowa St

nMaryland(#3B1G), @Tenn, @CSU (#1mwc) and neutral 2 garbage p5 teams isn't really that awful of a noncon in hindsight. You'll never convince me that it matters which shithead teams you play from the summit, sun belt and wac conf after that.

Well, we are probably just barely in right now.

But like I said in earlier post...
Tcu is 6-8. They have only 1 decent win. We have 3. Our RPIs are basically the same
Cuse has RPI of 83. They are 2-9 away from the Carrier Dome. 16-12 overall. 3 bad losses
Seton Hall is 6-8 in Big East.

Those 3 are also considered in right now.   It's a weak bubble
