I'll make the short drive to Dayton if we're a first four.

Best Worst case scenario is the perception that we were unjustly snubbed, thus preventing oscar being fired.

i fyp'd your post imo

Do the next round of bracket projections come out tomorrow or Friday?

Based on most bracket projections, there are like 9 decent college hoops teams in the country

We'd have to probably lose to OU, Texas, TCU, OSU and Tech to miss the tourney.

Yep and we have a minimum of two very winnable top 50 games left on the schedule before the tournament. I do think we are headed to oscar not being absolutely safe with a first round loss territory.

What games do people honestly see on the schedule that we take?  Doesn't the evidence point to us in a serious nose dive that isn't going to get better? I'm thinking of looking at how bad our defense is and our scoring.  It's not like we've lost close nail biters or something where just a few defensive lapses down the stretch cost us.

I have a strong feeling this team is going to steal one of the next three-maybe even two!-and then completely collapse down the stretch.

Look at our record, now look at the records of our opponents, it's pretty obvious we're going to win a couple of these games. Going 2-3 to finish the season is pretty shitty, no need for the melodrama of pretending like any of these teams are good enough to mark anyone down for a sure win.

People sure are acting like there are sure wins out there, that is why I question them.  I suppose our best bets are Texas and Oklahoma, but honestly Texas on the road, just because it's a roadie seems like an auto loss at this point.  Same logic applies later for OU.  OSU is trending up and I wouldn't be surprised to see more applause for Brad in the Bram then hostility.  Dixon clearly has TCU trending up and again, roadie.  At that point we're looking and hoping for our wins coming from Texas and Texas Tech.  If we continue this spiral, I'm not sure we can count on the last game to get us a win.  By that time I would hope bracketology would have tightened up and put us squarely out.  If that is true, I don't see oscar coaching this team up (maybe DJamer and Wes's final game would be enough).

There are no sure wins (or losses with oscar).

He'll probably get one more win, but this thing looks like its falling apart if the first 10 minutes is any indication. I have no idea when/if/what causes these guys to play hard anymore.

oscar is really good at doing just enough.  for us that means the earlier baylor road win and a couple more feel good wins the rest of the way.  tanking would make things far too easy on all of us (except oscar).

I don't think anyone sees sure wins left, maybe a week ago but not anymore. It's just that it would take an all time pants shitting for any of these teams to go 0-5 against any of the other five. Kenpom has us going 4-1.

Most people on board with 2 or 3 wins right now (base on stats and schedules)?  Okay, thanks for setting me straight on what people are thinking.

I can't look at these 5 terrible halves of basketball over the last 7 games and think this team will win 3 or 4 games. oscar will probably pull out a win or two, but this teams is trending down in a really bad way.

This is just unbelievably bad.

The fact that this team can play this badly, then still be competitive and even pull out a win at Baylor is even more of an indictment on oscar and what he is doing with this team. There is no excuse for this.

I'm a pretty big optomist and I think there us only 10% chance we win 4 of 5 to finish 9-9.
It stinks we have had both big guys go through some injuries and be ineffective in games. However there isn't any excuse for the effort and energy tonight and the Tcu game.
We are 1-4 vs the mid tier or bubble teams in the B12.  That is also not acceptable. Especially when we did enough going 2-4 vs the Top 5 and top 15 teams are n this league

Most as in most of the people participating in this thread.  Not necessarily you, but I'd welcome your projections.  I haven't checked the other thread(s) by poster that were more projections based to be honest.
