lol, it's an absolute pile of crap. the only thing it has going for it is a ton of seats all filled with old people and uneducated masses. the area sucks complete ass. the restrooms suck complete ass. the concession and public areas suck complete ass. there is no tailgate atmosphere. getting to your seat is a cluster. it looks like garbage on the outside. god, just shut up GFA.

Third post down, dated JULY 29, '13 http://mbd.scout.com/mb.aspx?s=172&f=2485&t=11733813&p=2 actually shows a photo of the castle that looks to be taken roughly the time of the spring game (late April'ish).  It's not like new photos of the progress don't come out daily now and I guaran-fuckin-tee you that he sees every damn one of em.

Lapping KU in facilities upgrades is killing them.  I'm scared to watch the reactions if Currie were to announce a new phase before KU releases any of their future stadium plans.  Phoggers could be suicidal.

Yeah, I'd put money down that we're going to get renderings of Vanier 2.0 before Memorial gets a rendering for even a moderate face lift.

There's so much that has to be done before they even get to that phase with other facilities that need to be built (i.e. track).

We'll have some news on the next phases by the bowl game, I'm sure.  No inside info, but that seems to be how we're doing this.  There's too much momentum at this point and capital is flowing in too quickly for Currie not to step on the gas.

Has talk of a new indoor practice facility basically gone away until the revenue generating projects are complete.  Or was it ever more than just wishful thinking?

Can confirm Husker Memorial is awful. If you like tailgating under a bridge its pretty good though

If it's true that we didn't have to borrow the 40m that was expected for the renovations, then I think it needs to be announced sooner.  The donors have ponied up a lot and if we have an average season we could easily see some donations drop off.  Need to keep the excitement rolling and not risk losing large donations due to an average season and a soon-to-be rough bball season.  Bowl season is a long ways out.  Also, any type of announcement.... doesn't have to be dramatic (limestone wall and video boards will bring plenty of excitement).

K-State borrowed $50 million, and the price tag for this phase of the Master Plan is $85 million.    So over $30 million of this thing will have to be paid straight out of pocket.

He must have known Synder was committed for that new 5 years because that's a huge risk without him at the helm.

Agree. I always tell people this. I'm jealous of their past success and that they can garner that kind of fan support, but that stadium is horrible. Looks good from the field on TV though.
