it's pretty amazing that instead of just admitting they're getting lapped at this point, ku fans are still clinging to increasingly more and more ridiculous talking points to try and justify memorial being better than bsfs. really fascinating dynamic. I wonder if it'll continue as our projects continue and we build one of the best small stadiums in the country, while they spend $150 million just to get rid of a track and make their stadium somewhat passable for division 1 level.
Reminds me of gopowercatters pre-currie days. Head in the sand talking crap as other schools shoved new facilities up there ass. Problem for the beakers, they hired a guy that was trained under the head in the sand old guard. T and p beaker nation.
The latest thread is simply breath taking in its humor. I am particularly enjoying the logic (from the usual suspects I might add) that the WSC only benefits a small percentage of attendees to the game. Hmm, so all new restrooms, concessions, exit/entry points and team stores covering an entire side of the stadium only benefits a small % of people? Fascinating.
I am also enjoying the fact that they're saying that by building the WSC we can't add on to the stadium. Hey uh fellas, I know you're reading this, but here's a little help. People paying out hundreds of thousands of dollars if not millions for the rights to buy suites and club suites don't want to be relegated to 25 stories above the field. I can't help but note the humor here of a school that hasn't added a single seat to its football stadium in nearly 50 years despite the size of the town its in doubling and the student population doubling over that time frame. The trend-line all across sports architecture is the big $ gets the premium views and locations, and additional general seating get added to endzone areas. In college athletics the trend-line is towards endzone clubs (and no, that isn't NASCAR bleachers with pleather loungers like at KU), with suites on top or in the middle, and general seating below and above. K-State could easily add thousands of seats to the endzone areas and to be honest, the East Side Expansion could be gone in a week and completely redone in a year or a little over a year if K-State choose to do so . . . without having to destroy the whole seating bowl below, like a certain other school may need to do.
