Will the "cool" Pinstripe Bowl K-State be on the new field at BSFS?

Yes . . . it's cool.  Currie Prevails.
NO . . . OB Wins again.

You guys I love this thread so much.

By far my favorite too. I'd like to imagine phase 5/6 when it's done looking from Kimball south towards the stadium looking like the WSC arch and towers but with a wider arch entrance flanked by 2 (slightly shorter) towers and extending closer to Kimball (all parking for the football players and staff will be in an underground garage too keep their cars cool and elite looking longer). Also would like phase 5 to put limestone on the east side in a way to match the west side in some way, and (maybe too expensive but it'd match it better) angle the edge of the seating of the east side to match the west side too (cuing talks about potentiality improving site lines in phase 5). And yes, I want party deck there in the SW wedge overlooking the field between the Bram and WSC. With a restaurant balcony below that (in a way so some drunk dude doesn't spill his drinks on the people below) and have it connected essentially rooftop to the hotel that would sit west side of Bramlage. Then place that kiddy funland there on the NE corner, and of course have the weight room/training/varsity lounge in the NW corner. Connect east side and west side to Bramlage and each other, (maybe put some club seating/lodge seating or more suites with that) wrap the field with the limestone wall, place in kick ass sound system, ribbon boards, endzone length new north endzone video board, and sit back and enjoy K-State 'Cats take on Pud U in the most elite stadium in college football.

Ever it holds me with magic spell,

K-S-U, we’ll carry thy banner high.
K-S-U, long, long may thy colors fly.
Loyal to thee, thy children will swell the cry.
Hail, hail, hail, Alma Mater.

Hmmm. Maybe Currie made the right decision, guys.

Oh man, I hadn't even considered how it would look with trees in the fall. :frown:

Look at all the pedestrians on the ground in that pic. So many knocked out by trees impeding their walkway, T's & P's.  :frown:

More context for Nightmare on No-Elms Street:

Sounds like there is some sort of landscape vision for both parking lots (primarily west side) that would create a treelined "main drive" leading from college ave to the entrance of the WSC, as well as some greenspace medians etc. Possible that trees and other landscaping in front of WSC could be part of that... Not sure if that's a "phase" or just a facility improvement. No idea on timetable.

There currently isn't enough room on the sidewalk in front of WSC and the drive area of the parking lot for trees without a disruption of foot traffic. Would need to eliminate stalls on the eastern edge of the parking lot, which would have a ripple effect of having to reassign spots etc throughout the lot. I think they want to avoid having to do a big reassign of spots twice, and just wait to redo the whole lot at once.

Also, really wish I could go back and not use the word "nightmare"  :frown:

Won't be beer at football? They said very specifically there were no plans to have beer in BSFS or in Bramlage, that it was a baseball only test program.

The BoR just approved a thingy with the east side lot. Does that mean there will never be trees over there? :frown:

yes. common thought was that it was a test program and if the test went well, they'd extend it to football this fall. that doesn't seem to be the case though.
