Famous Dave's was so over played when we got it. That's when I started feeling like a townie instead of a student. "OMG! Have you tried famous dave's in town? It's like the best thing ever!" No it's not you stupid townies. It's a chain restaurant that's all over the country. Get the eff out of Manhattan every once and awhile.

+1.  Same is true for the Olive Garden.  The townies are all like, "Olive Garden didn't think Manhattan could support it, but now there are lines out the door every night!"

Same people that get cleaned up, put on a freshly ironed button up and tuck it in oh so tight, then treat their family to a nice sit down dinner at Applebee's.  Now if we were talking about going to a Fuddruckers or a Shenanigans this would be acceptable as we all know these two establishments are fine dining in a family atmosphere.
Applebee's is no Fuddruckers.

It probably would have had a better build quality than we will end up with. In my experience, illegal immigrants are usually excellent at manual labor. They show up on time, are willing to work late, and they take pride in their work.

It probably would have had a better build quality than we will end up with. In my experience, illegal immigrants are usually excellent at manual labor. They show up on time, are willing to work late, and they take pride in their work.

Will agree wholeheartedly on the first 2 and somewhat on the last point.  The problem is they cannot read drawings and attention to detail is severely lacking.  They can put a hell of a lot of product in place, but quality is usually very substandard without someone monitoring them.   Sheetrock corners are out of square, joints are not busted out far enough to avoid humps and bellies that show up when you put in ceiling grid or base.  Soffit edges are not sharp, paint lines are not crisp.  When you get into elements such as vapor and moisture barriers, they are clueless.  They may do great at building a house but this is a commercial project and standards are much higher.  Your statement specified a crew of nothing but illegal immigrants and with that crew, you would get a pile of crap.
