Went up and took some pictures today. Most of them came out with the purple looking black because of my shitty camera and it was raining at the time so I boosted up the exposure and the color so it would look closer to how it looked in real life.

Here's a link to the slideshow:

Feel free to post them in here or wherever.

Kind of disappointed, I don't see any long jump or pole vault runways being cut in anywhere.   What real college football stadium doesn't have long jump runways and sand pits, and Pole Vault runways??

Very nice Boakai,

I really like the look of that second level of seating to match the east side.  The only thing that will be a little different is (I think) the turf will actually go over the blacktop past the end zones.

I've also heard that the freestanding lights will go away and be replaced with a large bank of lights on top of the new pressbox.  You can barely how Minny did the same thing in the picture of their stadium above.

Lights noted:

BIGGER

Where is the moat?

If we're going to have a skybridge, I demand a moat.

Moats are ALWAYS outside.

I mean, having a moat inside is just silly.

not what I was saying. Was looking for a shop of the stadium reno's not the new astro turf. don't be so respected

I didn't post this in response to any post you made.  I just figured people would like to see the pic without clicking a link.  Die in a fire, and facepalm yourself, idiot.

 :shakesfist:

how bad would you feel if I actually did die in a fire today? joke's on you!

Hey man, that was a pretty mean thing to say, sorry.  I do hope you got some type of small burn that resulted in an inconvenient blister, like on your thumb or something.

skinned my knee, thought of you when I did it though. You're welcome.

I'm sure it will be darker when they put the ground rubber into the turf.

Supposedly the blades have a different design. They are supposed to be more durable and less likely to lay flat and look like our old turf did the last few years.

oh, makes sense. so will it pretty much look the same in 5 years as it does now? also, does it give you those nasty turf burns like fieldturf? Hate that crap.

Would love to see a rendering from this view.

or this

Still, we've come a long way from this....

If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

Judging from the powercats and the "Big 8" on the field, sometime between 1989 and 1996.
