Word is there will be a walk way from the east side to the west side on the north side of the stadium, above Vanier. I don't see how this could not look totally weird and out of place.

They want to wrap seating around on both sides of the north end. Walkway seems logical. What plans do they have for the south.

When the west side pressbox of suck is gone i will probably die of shock.

Sota's stadium is tits looking overall, but the pressbox exterior is pretty meh imo.

I really like the look of that second level of seating to match the east side.  The only thing that will be a little different is (I think) the turf will actually go over the blacktop past the end zones.

I've also heard that the freestanding lights will go away and be replaced with a large bank of lights on top of the new pressbox.  You can barely how Minny did the same thing in the picture of their stadium above.

Huzzah for the dark purple. If it weren't for those damn redundant powercats, it would be the perfect endzone design.

It's easy to call it redundant when you see it on a small picture on your screen. The scale of it lends itself to having more than one powercat on it, especially with TV in consideration.

Totally agree on the dark purple though.

Can't decide on how I feel about the white outline on the powercat.   I think I could like it, but it seems a bit too thick.

Goodness, that purple looks deep.

 

I can see what was mentioned about the purple appearing more black to T.V than opposed to the blue color of the lighter purple.  I like this turf alot.

really more of a white balance issue.   A decent camera crew should be able to make any purple look KSU purple.

Looks way better than what we had.  The reason it looks thick to you (it's actually just normal) is that the previous powercat was way too thin/mangy-looking.  It was not lean at all and this one is.

It's just a regular white yard line with a purple border on both sides, I don't think the purple will have a white outline outside of that.  I agree it would suck if they did but they look pretty sweet right now.
