I know they're trying to "rebrand" the university, but the letterhead on the sidelines is very old-timey looking. Looks like the letterhead my dad still uses from the late 80s. Like we're going back to the future.
This IS their idea of a "re-brand", unfortunately.
The incredible thing is we have a University president that has been harping about elevating the brand for over a year. So, we go out and hire an independent branding agency to conduct a study, establish multiple focus groups, conduct an internal audit that identified no less than 30 different university identity marks being used, and the clear outcome is that there is basically no consistency or universal brand identity for the school.
So, what do we do, create yet another University brand mark completely inconsistent with our most publically visible brand identity for athletics, refer to the school in different nomenclature graphically represented in a totally inconsistent type treatment.
Absurd.
