SB is kinda
about this stuff ever since the downtown redevelopment air balled so incredibly hard from what was originally proposed.
I don't know entirely what was proposed, but I think the downtown redevelopment has been pretty solid. It's dense(ish). Like the south end, multiple hotels, greenspace, discovery center, etc. Seems like 4th St. has been drastically improved. Don't love the big box north end, I guess. Seems like the development plan prioritized revamping Poyntz and, to date, feel like they're executing this properly.
I dunno. Guess I'd give it a B+, A-???
granted, I'm only in mhk for football/basketball games.
ya ok tmcats lol
What's to hate about the downtown area? That area has taken on a complete facelift along 4th street.
It maybe chainey but it looks much better and provides more to Manhattan than it used too.
ya ok headinjun lol. why don't you go grab a sandwich at McAllister's and then a nice iced coffee at Mississippi Mud lol.
Yeah let's go back to the beat up road, the ugly Steel and Pipe with rusty tracks, beat up houses, and the sketchy liquor store.
You think local owners were gonna invest and pay the high rent? The area is a moneymaker for the city and it attracts JOCO rats who are used to suburbia. I'll take it.
