Whoa, yeah.  I didn't even notice that third deck.  What's up with that?

Side note: we should collaborate on a stadium thread where we go conference by conference and talk about the best, worst and weirdest stadiums for each one!

Would.

Any of you insidery folk have any inside info for how fundraising is going for the new Vanier complex? A couple of months ago, they said the expected price tag was $65 million and we needed to raise $50 million in cash to start construction. The other $15 million would come from dept funds. They also said in April that we were about 75% of the way to our goal ($50 mil x 75% = $37.5 mil?). Have we topped that off yet? Is more work needed?

You probably intended to answer that way, but it wasn't a yes or no question, sir.

Your analysis is only partially correct. It is not a yes or no question, it is multiple yes or no questions. Answering with a single response is invalid. Please try again.

Yes, Yes

The original single yes answer was sufficient. New Vanier is only a phase, there will always be another phase coming, thus continual fundraising

The word phase reminded me of the bookshelf scene in Jerry Maguire. I never understood whether she said she would do it or that it was a college phase.

I was told the fundraising portion for Vanier 2.0 without the NE section is close/has enough committed to move forward the second our season is over, but they still need to raise more to make the NE corner happen sooner than later. This coming from a source that has been incredibly rough ridin' wrong about almost everything.

Every time I see this thread has been bumped, I just assume we've announced another multi million dollar expansion. This was kind of a letdown.

Sorry. Before we build our next multi million dollar project, I figure we should probably pay for the current one first.

I think we should build as many dope ass facilities we can get loans for and let the tax payers pick up the tab if we can't cover it.

I think they should built a new baseball stadium out at Anneburg Park for the catbats, that setting!  Let the city pay for it obviously.
