Will the "cool" Pinstripe Bowl K-State be on the new field at BSFS?

Yes . . . it's cool.  Currie Prevails.

Guys, I'm pretty sure it's possible to donate land to some entity and specify it's purpose forever.  Land is donated to conservation organizations or wildlife/parks groups all the time with stipulations.  Anyway, it would probably take some sort of eminent domain deal to get that land to the north and do something with it other than make the stadium smell like crap.

There would be zero financial impact with a practice field/parking lot switcharoo.  Keep reserved spots close to stadium.  Switch GA parking with practice fields.  Cake.

 :Wha:

I feel like such an idiot for asking this (because I've never really parked at the stadium; I walked or parked far away and walked), but is it just the grass lot that's GA?

The gray areas marked VIP on the east side are GA in the sense that there are not reserve spots. You still have to have to make a donation and pay for a season pass, it's just not quite as expensive. Before this year there was a similar area on the west side, but they did away with it and made every spot reserved to make more money.

Can't tell if you're serious or not, but the football practice fields are only about half the size of the east parking lot....

We could just build houses on the parking lot and park in people's lawns. Just a thought.

I'm equating VIP to GA.  So, yeah, switch the practice fields with the East Lot GA/VIP.  about the same size.  AD could charge roughly the same thing for GA parking south of the baseball complex.

what's confusing about this?

Is the current location of the practice fields really a problem, for recruiting or otherwise? Seems like kind of a waste of money to relocate them. I think Vanier and, specifically, the locker room and weight room, is where we should be really dropping the cash if we want to improve recruiting (again, assuming we don't just pay the recruits, which is still my preferred option).
I've said it before and I'll say it again, K-State fans could have beheaded the entire KU team at midcourt, and K-State fans would be celebrating it this morning.  They are the ISIS of Big 12 fanbases.

For a coach that believes there should be absolutely not one wasted second, yes, its a huge problem.

Would me a much further walk and you would be away from most tailgating.  I would assume most people then move to the agro lot across the street for that same price.  Unless you make that the "party" lot for all the students like MIzzou had that reactor lot.  Opposite side of the student section tho

I think you're overthinking it.  It's a parking lot.  for cars.  and tailgating.  and it's 800 ft. from the stadium.

Kimball feeds into TCB or Seth Child. College only goes to Claflin. This would be a traffic nightmare.

I assume our players do some warm up and cool down exercises prior to practice. What could be better than a brisk 1/4 mile walk/jog? Seriously though, how much does it cost to relocate those fields? I'm guessing a lot. And I'd rather spend that money on other stuff.

they do a pretty good job directing traffic and walkers across kimball after the game.  not so much before.

wants and needs are different things.  obvs.  are connected fields necessary?  prob not.  But I want it b/c it's something a big timey program should have, cost notwithstanding.

I'm going back to eliminating a softball field (SW) and then just using that chunk of land plus the GA parking/grass lot for a practice facility similar to Oklahoma State's.

Do we really need four softball fields?  Really?

We do if we want to continue to attract lesbians to our fair campus.
