DJDT reports he only saw/recognized 4 recruits at the ku game.  In the same thread, "catatomic" confirms there were 50.

One thing that should be abundantly clear to everyone at this point is that whatever DJDT says, the complete opposite is true.

Puetz, Davis, Tuggle, Meshak will all spend time in an NFL camp.  Our recruiting could certainly be better but the results on the field would suggest its been far better that what the scouting sites have projected.  I dont care how much coaching up occurs, you still have to have talents to win 10 games or be ranked top 5.

At the end of the day, I don't really care how Bill infuses the program with talent, but I don't classify transfers like Harper or Brown as recruiting victories.  They ultimately ended up here, but we were the recipients of some good fortune.

I do give them a ton of credit for identifying DITR talent like Zimmerman.  High level D1 contributor that had zero interest coming out of highschool.

I think transfers count. If you count juco transfers, it makes no sense to not count transfers from other D1 programs, especially since Snyder was not the K-State coach who missed on them out of high school.

Just a couple of Kansas kids who grew up dreaming of playing for Coach Snyder saw their chance to return home when Bill did.  Recruiting victory.

I actually believe that DJDT only saw/recognized 4 recruits at the ku game.  All 4 were named Jesse as well.

I love when the GPC Wabash Station Ring Of Honor members have the annual "where we really should be in the recruiting rankings if they counted our transfers" discussion completely ignoring the fact that every team also received transfers.

It's right up there with the annual discussion that "3 stars are better than 5 stars because most draft picks are 3 star players or less" ignoring the fact that 99% of college football players are 3 stars or less.  Throw rough ridin' logic out the door when a good ol' recruiting rankings discussion breaks out.

I like to just look at final standings and then go back and revise the recruiting rankings to match that because obviously those teams did the best job of getting the players they needed to succeed with their systems.

That has to be it. The white QB is all but extinct, after all. Oh, and you would fit in well here:

good fortune?  I thought it was widely speculated that both of them would've been here to begin with if snyder was still the coach when they came out of high school.  I thought harper had been pretty public about that fact.  not sure about AB.  :dunno:

I find it harder and harder to get pumped over any recruit unless they are dlinemen or qbs.
I once blew clove smoke in a guy's face that cut in front of me in the line to KJ's.

Assuming he is Nigel 2.0, WOULD TAKE!!

When we are graduating our best corner, you find it hard to excited about a 4-star JuCo corner?

I wait for everyone else to get really excited before I quit being cynical and sarcastic.

there seems to be no evidence that popular recruiting rankings have any predictive properties with respect to our success on the field with snyder as our coach.  until he is not our coach anymore, I really can't be bothered to give a eff.  :dunno:
