I figured you guys would be recruiting better, but hey, if it's any consolation in my NCAA Dynasty you guys make it to a BCS bowl and Daniel Sams wins a Heisman..  :ksu:

Iim 8 years into mine... michigan has dipped to two star prestige.... :frown:

The eff ?? You're obviously not playing it right.. We've won 3 Ships in 5yrs in my dynasty, and I really would of won 4 had I not created "BadAss [redacted]" who ended up spurning me at the last minute to go to Bama and then totally eff me in the NC game..

BTW the game announcers will not say "[redacted]", it just says his number, they saw me coming..

When I become King of the United States I will ensure that football games are required to say "[redacted]".

Dude decommitted from Pigaggy late, we got a visit, and he should have been "in the bag?"  I'm not saying that I'm not disappointed in not landing him but I'm not pissed either. Losing Bender would piss me off, not landing Pennel is really not much of a surprise.  I guess I'm just tucking the crap out it lately but I feel like Snyds was able to recruit well enough for us to reach a Cotton Bowl, with even bigger possibilities next year.  Maybe you outta tuck a bit yourself, 10-3 feels pretty good.

Once again, you're focusing on the symptom and not the root cause.

This isn't about swinging and missing on Pennel.

The problem is swinging and missing on Pennel and then not having another realistic options for an impact DT for immediate help next year.

The bigger problem than that is the complete recruiting failures of the last two seasons at this position of need by this staff that has put us is this position.

We've got one quality DT in Lutui, one guy who has done nothing in two years in Boyd and one new guy in Hollingshed.  Just an FYI.

But go ahead and convince yourself that Snyder and co. will magically fabricate 10-2 seasons with that type of talent along the interior defensive line.

I kind of liked the strategy of setting Pennel up with a guy who won't play another down for the team on his recruiting visit.  savvy

KSU gets early start on 2013 (yes, that's right, Snyder does recruit early) w/ big commitment from one of KC's best

http://insider.espn.go.com/blog/ncfrecruiting/midlands/post?id=1662&action=login&appRedirect=http%3a%2f%2finsider.espn.go.com%2fblog%2fncfrecruiting%2fmidlands%2fpost%3fid%3d1662

http://rivals.yahoo.com/kansasstate/football/recruiting/player-Jordan-Willis-135179;_ylt=AjxNCoo2zcQbeLb7jnyZuBDpsJB4

at least we're off to a good start with Woods and Willis already committed for the DE position.  Likely will get the placement at Navarro in Mickens who played OLB this year as a freshman.

So for 2013 as it now stands assuming we add Mickens the roster of DEs might look something like the following:

LDE
Maquel Bryant 6'3 250-260 RSo
Hunter Davis 6'4 275 So or RFr (might be 3 technique as well)
Cody Small 6'5 260 RFr
Tanner Wood 6'5 260 Fr

RDE
Brandon Mickens 6'4 240-250 Jr
Ian Seau 6'2/6'3 260-265 RSo
Jordan Willis 6'5 240 Fr

This would not include any late addition to this year's class or the potential of another juco in 2013.
Academics is a stupid word.

Academic schools are synonymous for being rich, powerful and exclusive, three things Kansas State is not.

So when people throw the word "academics" around, that's really what they are referencing.

Welp, I expect this kid to de-commit to play TE at Cal, or die on the practice field at OU.

Rockhurst defensive end committed to K-State
BY KELLIS ROBINETT
The Kansas City Star

Jordan Willis, a defensive end out of Rockhurst High School, has verbally committed to play for Kansas State starting in 2013.

K-State extended a scholarship offer to Willis, a 6-foot-5, 225-pound junior, after watching him play at a camp in Manhattan last summer, and Willis has been smitten with K-State ever since.

When news of his commitment became public on Wednesday, he became the second junior to give his pledge to Wildcats football coach LHC Bill Snyder for the 2013 recruiting class. According to Rivals, Tanner Wood, of Conway Springs, was the first.

Rockhurst coach Tony Severino thinks Willis will be able to help on K-State’s defensive line if he continues to improve his game as a senior.

“He’s a sack guy,” Severino said. “Right now, you can put him in third-down situations, and he can get to the quarterback. You know how important that is at the college level. He can come off the edge; he’s got that kind of burst. He’s not complete, but he’s got another year.”

Does anybody have a breakdown of the 25 'ships HCBS can hand out?  Hoe many of the early signs count back to last year? How many greyshirts count in this class? How many known commitments are there?  Thanks in advance!!

I don't know on the count backs.  But he currently has 22 commitments when you include grayshirts.  5 JUCO, 10 HS, 7 grayshirt.

Demonte Hood favors KSU.  He's a qualifying risk.  Has strong interest from Michigan State and CSU.
