I made shitty decisions when I was 17 years old. Good luck to Dylan. I hope we get him out of the 2025 transfer portal. There’s no excuse for adults making shitty decisions on social media and attacking a 17-year-old kid and his dad. Coaches and conference leadership have no business lecturing anybody on commitment and loyalty.

Perfectly said.

Yes, but it’s also fine for his peers (students) to give him crap.
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

I think that’s still stupidly, just subject to the same excuse.

Why? Some long-play where hopefully a player transfers back to KSU? Nah, light his ass up. If his (any player, especially a sought after de-commit) team plays us he should be welcomed with boos and heckled relentlessly. That’s college sports and a big part of what makes it great.

What a cheap ass offer presentation.  They take a generic uniform with no face or body and write on the side the name and position of the recruit.

It serves no purpose other than to tell the world you’re horribly insecure. He never took up a scholarship or roster spot here. We didn’t pour any more resources into him than any other high caliber recruit we chased.

Yea, grown adults, even in Twitter world, talking crap to a high school kid is pathetic.

Ok that’s where I draw the line. You can’t just have endless commitment ceremonies. It’s like a second wedding. Just bring some friends and family to the courthouse and have a nice dinner afterwards.

Dylan seems like a high maintenance dude with little person syndrome.  This situation looks to be a blessing is disguise.

He's a 17 year old kid who's been subjected to a barrage of old people shitting on him and his dad because he doesn't like his dad's alma mater the way others think he should.

I sincerely hope we aren't expecting a high school kid to take the high road.

When I made my college choice I literally did what he did. I spent my whole life wanting to go to the school my dad did, even during my senior year. Then I had a better reason to go to K-State, a chick.

What are the odds he goes to Nebraska?  Just something way out of left field

TX on KSO said that the coaches are done with Dylan Edwards.  If they are not willing to rerecruit him, it is not good look for him or his family.

anything is possible. Couple predictions to ND in the last two days. Pretty sure he'll go there.

without knowing exactly what "done" means that doesn't seem like a great decision by the staff. If it's just moving on for this class, fine, but I wouldn't want them like "we're never talking to you again ever".

Why should the staff have any interest in him ever again?  That is like trying to bug an ex-girlfriend to like you again.  If she comes back, then you can start talking about a mending a relationship.  This isn't on K-State to have to put in effort on someone who has no interest.  Sounds like a huge waste of time.  If he enters the portal 2-3 years from now and wants to come home, then K-State can reach out one time and see if he has interest.  Otherwise...have a good life.

I agree that we should better allocate resources, but "recruiting don't stop 'til the Waffle House closes."  With portal and NIL, it doesn't stop until the draft or eligibility runs out.
