Athlete Kylan Johnson (Dallas/Skyline) verbally commits to Kansas State.
"I think coach (Bill) Snyder is a good coach and I can get to my full potential there," Johnson said. "I like the atmosphere there. Their fans are crazy. It's a big family. I think it's a good school with not too many distractions."
Johnson chose the Wildcats over offers from UCLA, Wisconsin, Arkansas, Memphis, Iowa State and Washington State.
The three-star recruit is ranked as the nation's No. 86 athlete and the No. 142 prospect in Texas in the 2015 class by 247Sports.com Composite Rankings.
Johnson (6-3, 200) feels he will play strong safety or outside linebacker on the next level.
