FWIW...TL Ford's QB in high school Brooks Barden is a commit to Charlotte as well. His switching is probably a mixture of wanting familiarity with location, teammates, and potential depth problems here at KSU. No idea if we cooled off on him, but i would assume that played a role in it too.

If you haven't been following, ertz is legit. I've seen sadder qb drama like pre freeman. Sharp was/is a stud, but life happens. #teamertz after #life.

TL Ford just flipped to UNC Charlotte.

I'm betting we asked him to gray shirt to make more room for another guy.

This is hilarious 24 hours after you idiots bitched about a 17 year old not honoring his commitment. I find it hilarious that the posters bitching yesterday let this post pass without comment.

You disagree?  I'm not saying it's right or wrong; just what I think happened.

Also, I said that I was being overly emotional yesterday.  I admitted as much.

I liked TL Ford.  This sucks.

Not to nitpick, but i feel our recruiting doesnt get better everyday.  What goal # is that one?  I feel like we neglect that a little bit.

Recruiting against WRSOAT has to be a true pleasure.  Wait for them to identify a DITR, swing back by in January to pick up.

So, somebody give me the TLFord skinny here.  I'm used to commits flipping to schools like OSU, Tech, Baylor and other similarly situated schools.  But, UNC Charlotte?  That's like UMKC, no?

I've got to imagine there's more to that story.

Now, Sharp, on the other hand.    if he decommits.

Sharp wouldn't have seen the field until his senior year, anyway. Ertz can run, and he's faster than you think.

TLFord obviously actually sucks or is a qualifying risk or was actually asked to walk on greyshirt or something.  No recruit willingly picks UNC Charlotte over a BCS program.

What makes the Sharp situation humorous is the way that he's basically laughing in WRSOAT's face.  Dude was committed for seven months, promised that we were done recruiting the QB position, and then sets up trips to UCLA and a contingency plan in Washington three weeks from national signing day and is casually joking to the Rivals writers about K-State pulling his scholarship because he's visiting elsewhere.

Texas Christian University coach Gary Patterson has been hired as Kansas State's 34th football coach, multiple sources have confirmed to GoPowercat.com.  Patterson replaces Ron Prince, who was fired Wednesday. - Tim Fitzgerald   Nov, 7, 2008

Yeah, and Jake Waters was a better JUCO prospect than Nick Marshall.

He's definitely a better thrower.

The level at which our coaches apparently misread Sharp is alarming to say the least.

I may be wrong, but I think DJamer was laughed at for saying Sharp seemed awfully quiet compared to other commits.  The reasoning may have been wrong, if I recall, but he may have gleaned something from talking or texting with him.  I'll give him credit for feeling this one out correctly.

I wonder where we go next on QB.  People assume Bush, but who knows at this point. They may just try to go prep and JUCO in 2015.

I don't agree or disagree, its your theory and it sounds good to me. I just found it funny that if this did happen it was right after people were saying that Sharp taking this visit and possibly decommiting is some sort of character flaw but won't say a word if their holy lhcbs pulls some bullshit like this.

I know you apologized and that was big of you, there are still some reading this that think Sharp committed some unforgivable sin and that he's not raised properly.

If we do our coaches are the stupidest sonofabitches in coaching. If a coach did that to me just for taking a visit not only would I tell them to get bent but I'd tell every good high school player, coach, and media member who would listen.
