pennell would be a big get for you. He had committed to Ar. but left. Never heard the reason. He sounds like a good player but could be a prima donna.

Quote from: jtksu on January 19, 2012, 11:57:14 PMOur D could actually be pretty solid next year. Figure out who's going to play the hybrid spot and we should be set.we didn't really use a hybrid spot this year. In obvious passing situations we went with a nickel corner and 4 DEnds for the pass rush. One would think we can improve the latter part of that with the young DEs and/or juco DE.BTW, both Eddie Porter and Ishmail Hayes are visiting. Porter was a former aTm LB commit who dumped them after Sherman was fired. Both are committed to Iowa State at the moment. Hayes has a lot of potential as a pass rusher (but he's thin and not that strong 6'5 235-240ish). Porter has a lot of good offers and would likely be top candidate to step in for Lamur...bigger than Lamur at 6'3 245-250.

Did they mention if they're still taking the KSU visit? If so, I still like our chances.
I gues Malzan learned how to recruit ($$$) in the $EC.
Seems to be quite a bit of anticipation over on GPC about our chances at landing a couple guys whose only other BCS offers are Indiana and Iowa State (not both).
