Inspirational.

Also, this is one of the threads that gets me the most excited when it's bumped

Did you scald yourself before the steroids or are you trusting big med?

Also a season oner.  It ended well and I don't think it needed to add anything so I won't let it.

They need to set up Venmo so fans can Venmo kids after a good play, as a way of cheering.

yes, instead of a powercat on their helmet put their venmo QR code!  you'll have to zoom in a bit, but should work

I believe Oklahoma State tried to do this last year and got shot down

Hats off to the boys.  I didn't think they had it in them at the game last night.  Puelskamp made some huge saves to keep it at 1-0 that proved crucial in the end.

Also, what a fun game to go to when you don't have to worry about watching Khiry play.

I get a little annoyed at a big celebration for a pass defended on a first down early in the game or some 8-yard reception.  If it's a legit big play through, I want an absolutely circus.

how can someone talented enough to paint snyder/kli mess up the powercat so badly?  looks like they drew the p-cat in the corner of the living room and wanted to use up the whole page.

I would say it looks like it was drawn on a napkin in Puerto Rican bar but I know exactly how bad that looks

They're typically $120+ for a shitty seat in a venue that has you watching the big screen anyway.

Damn, that's a bummer that you missed Bone Thugs. I feel like that had to have been like, 70% of the appeal.

I would be at a crossroads whether or not to go

I don't know that it's the 32x best burger in KC as they advertise, but the Westport Flea Market burger is quite good

I had plans and missed a Jamiraqui tribute band last weekend, which was disappointing.  I didn't realize Jamaraqui had tribute bands.

Self Esteem's A Complicated Woman is great - a lot of pop music with a choir.  There are a couple of tracks in there that don't fit with the rest of the album, unfortunately.  I went back and listened to her Prioritize Pleasure which is more dancey and is fantastic as well.

Little Simz new album has some songs that remind me of The Streets but each track is pretty unique.  My favorite rap album so far this year.

I think that there are comfort food pizzas that are not good but scratch a nostalgic itch - like Kraft Mac & Cheese does for me sometimes although it's clearly a shitty version of Mac & Cheese.  Then there are genuinely good pizzas (and mac & cheeses). ben ji is incredibly wrong, sure, but maybe his nostalgia pizza itch needs scratching more than he needs a good meal.

Also, I don't know the ben Ji kid sitch but I can't imagine paying more for a bunch of nice pizzas when the little gremlins would just as soon eat some bullshit.

I loved the ending.  It was ridiculous and fun.

I'm concerned for the wellbeing of waks.

Watching the end of that game with him was a treat, as was the nice bottle of champagne that followed.

on the bird thread, hearing a lot of people like those bird feeders with a nest doorbell in them. I personally want to drive those rats with wings away from my deck but for those of you who like bird voyeurism I hear it's cool.

I got one for my wife and she enjoys it.  We now have a thriving bird sanctuary in our backyard

Campground is fairly casual but nice, good cocktails, and not too pricey.

Two small market teams?  Whoever wins, America loses
America wins as long as the Phoenix Suns aren't anywhere near the finals

WELL THEN AMERICA WINS TOO OFTEN!!

Scored 10 runs in Jac's first game up.  Coincidence?  Almost certainly, but I'm still excited about it.

I like having a "get to the rim" guy at guard.  I think that's a crucial tool in stopping runs by the other team.

No pressure - so just go have fun.

I ain't holding my breath. But it's kind of dreamy to think about the possibility of sending Texas and Arkansas to the clubhouse in back to back years.

VanHorn has won a lot of games and hasn't delivered a CWS title. Texas actually offered Sclossnagle less money out of the gate then he was making at A&M, but that changes after next season when his salary jumps to nearly triple where he started at Texas and almost double what he made at Texas A&M. $2.65 million a year for a baseball coach, damn.

talk about an ideal result
hopefully are KU brothers can do the same to Arkansas again

Arkansas has pretty consistently been ending KU's seasons the past few years
