For the most part, day 1 of free agency was good for the Chiefs, imo.  They didn't miss out on anybody I would want for the money spent.  I'm not going to enjoy watching Wilkins/Cosby chase Mahomes but oh well.  Tyron Smith and Mooney still on the board which are my top 2 for the Chiefs.

KU shouldn't even play in the NCAAs.  A ceiling of the Sweet 16 with the nation watching Dickinson flop and wine is not going to benefit them.

I don't know that Gay gets more than Tranquil.  He's a mid-starter at LB that doesn't rush the passer.

This would be bad ass

The difference between a Northwestern degree and a KU degree is the difference between figuring out your temporary home before starting renovations vs after.

Tbh, I just don’t think Bill and Tang really care for each other. Contrasting personalities and the beef between Self’s KU staff and Drew’s BU staff is real.

I agree.  Self is more cynical and Tang is overly positive.

Self's been doing this long enough that he knew what he was doing with his postgame comments.  He can take some focus off what has probably been his most disappointing season at KU so far.

Jenny Lewis was great.  I enjoy the Truman as a venue too.  The "VIP" seats put us on a balcony right by the stage and were very reasonably priced.  It's not a fancy venue but is a nice size to get decent acts.

Don Antonios had delicious tacos.  It's KCK out on State St but was an easy stop off for the SKC game

The Philly goal had them celebrating right in front of me in the cauldron which was annoying.  A buddy got hit in the back with a beer.  A Philly player threw beers back and some guy next to me was trying to get security to help him press charges.

At the money he's getting and the type of WR he is, I'm glad Evans is off the market.

The new Yard Act album is a curious treat.

Maybe an attached hotel could pull enough.

Hotels have tried there and failed with both the Arrowhead and Kaufman bringing events.  There are ways to improve that by offering more/better meeting space but I think it's a challenge with, as was mentioned, about 20 reliable draw dates a year.

I didn't realize you hated BWW.  I would've thought you liked it given your criminal love of wing sauce.

I'm curious how LL does with his offensive staff largely gone.  I've heard he's kept that staff in tact wherever he's been so it's a bit of an unknown how much of that was him and how much was the OC.

I don't know if RaeQuan Battle has a good shooting % on those jump shots from beyond the arc, but he almost led West Virginia to a win against us with those.  I've never seen a player shoot jump shots from beyond the arc very frequently, but Battle did it consistently and with a high % against us.  Plus, he was pulling down rebounds like crazy.  We need a dude like that.

He was nailing step-back fadeaway 3s consistently in that comeback.  I can't imagine he's usually that good but it was an impressive showing for sure.

I have old Sonos Play 5 (They've updated models once or twice since then) to hook up my turntable to.  Some of the more expensive models probably make this possible but not all.

Why anyone would use a travel agent is beyond me. Another layer of complication to my travel, just what I need.

AND, book your air directly through the airline and not through Expedia or whatever.  If you book through another service, you can't deal directly with the airline if you need to make changes.

From my years in the travel industry, both of these points are absolutely correct.  Systems are in place these days to make sure that the Travel Agent doesn't offer you any additional value.  It's just another layer of complication when crap goes wrong.

You can see the weight he's put on, looks pretty broad in the chest
He needs to gain 150 more pounds to ensure no injuries imo.

I need to this translated into biscuits

I think our D-line is in shambles without CJ.  I think our secondary is still top half of the league without Sneed.

If the Chiefs don't resign Jones they aren't going to roll with the current roster they have. You realize that right?

Of course but they'll have to burn a good portion of whatever they save on replacing him to get it to average.

If Sneed leaves, we don't have to burn all the capital to rebuild our secondary.  Although certainly weaker, it would still be pretty strong.
i know you know but jones has benefited from sneed though.  when your secondary locks down and gives the rushers 5 minutes to rush the qb, good things happen.

sneed > jones in every imaginable way possible for this defense

Sure, but I don't think anyone gets home without CJ taking the O-line focus.

I think we can add a top 30ish CB (not Sneed level), save 10m, and still have a top 10 secondary.  I think there's about 2 other DTs that may hit free agency that could somewhat replace Chris, we save less than $10m, and I think our D-line drops more significantly.

I also trust our coaches to draft and develop DBs more than I trust them to develop d-line.

My takeaway is that dlew wants to chicat's neighbor pretty badly.

The talk for the next streetcar extension is on Linwood, although I'm sure that's 5 years off at best.
