The New Joe Montgomery Birther Pit / Re: TITLETOWN
« on: March 12, 2013, 07:13:24 PM »
your guys' year of dominance isn't even close to our 2008 year. but hey I guess sharing big 12 fball and bball is all you have

Winning the conference in both of the major sports is truly all we have. Woe is us.  :bawl:

Question: If winning a conference title doesn't mean anything, why are you guys so wrapped around the axles about nine of them? I mean, if I see a cloud in the sky, I'm thinking the same thing as if I saw nine clouds up there. Your logic, however, says, "One cloud? Meh. Nine clouds? BURN IT THE eff DOWN!  :chainsaw: "

Have you shown the Baylor thread your very special brand of butthurt yet? I'm sure they'd love it. I know we do.

Welcome to Titletown, squawk.  :ksu:

That's not very nice, you guys. I mean, we just took away their "wait until basketball season" talking point for the next eight months.

We already took football away from them, and now we're getting interested in basketball. It's not nice to pummel your little brother.  :nono:

like I said...if we meet up on Saturday Kstate will piss down their leg for a 3rd time this year and then everyone will know who the real big 12 champs are. but I'm sure if that happens there will be countless "KU cheated" or "KU paid the refs" threads.

The "so-and-so cheated and/or paid the referees" posts belong on Phog. You must be lost. It's understandable, with the Squawk Nation losing their mind after the Blowout in Baylor.

I wish I could say something comforting to you. I know sharing is hard; my three-year-old tells me that all the time.

Sat. Evening was hardcore Karma for all the butthurt in phogtuck land about Scott Drew letting Rodney go free . . . they really wanted that easy road and all their cheering for Baylor didn't pay off.   No doubt they were feeling pretty good at about 3 o'clock Saturday, settling in for their game after cheering for Oklahoma State for 2 hours or so.

Yeah, like this place hasn't been a total circle jerk since Baylor did your dirty work.

I never said it wasn't Beems.   But I know all to well phogtuck land was cheering their asses off for Baylor and Okie State . . . the butthurt in phogtuck land is off the charts right now.

KU fans just know that little bro will go overboard with this co-championship thing and brag about it for the next 100+ years of existence.  You're like a bunch of new money hillbillies who just hit the lottery, and now you're going around spending all your money like you're Bill Gates or something.  I'm happy for my K-State friends, but I knew that the message boards would be like this if K-State won.

I understand your point. It would be like bragging about a BCS game...six years later...after the BCS system has been deemed a fraud, and replaced with something that actually works.

You're absolutely correct. It's utterly pathetic.

Yeah, like this place hasn't been a total circle jerk since Baylor did your dirty work.  46-3 is just killing you guys.

Why can't you be happy for us?  My goodness you have 9 in a row. What more do you want?

They should be thanking the Lord, that the ref's gave them ISU.  Then they would have something to cry about, since we would be the true Big XII champs.

all you stupid Kstate fans can complain about our win at ISU all you want but if you would have beat KU once you'd be champs by yourself so shut up and go enjoy your little net cutting ceremony 2 days after you backed into a co-championship. i hope KU/Kstate meet on Saturday and them we win for the 3rd time this year!

Oh my God, the butthurt is spilling over from Phog. Do we have enough bandwidth to support all the squawk butthurt? Mods?

 :bait:

Pssst...if KU had beaten TCU twice, you'd be champs by yourself.  :jerk:

I was #teamburnitdown. Bigtime. I'm a 30-something nontraditional student at KSU (after wasting a decade in the Army), and I've been a 'Cat fan since I was 8 years old in 1984. My family moved here, and my cousin promptly informed me that I was a K-State fan. I ran with it.

I dealt with years of abuse from squawklets, who rooted for KU for reasons unbeknownst to them. They beat us in football, they beat us in basketball...it got pretty tiring after a while, but my team is my team. Kruger gave me a glimmer of hope...and then he was gone.

I sat and watched and prayed through the Altman years, and become extremely apathetic with Asbury and Woolridge. Huggins started something great...and promptly bailed. Frank was always on the verge; as much as it broke my heart when he bailed, I knew that he was never getting through that glass ceiling.

So, along comes oscar. Suddenly, we're all saddled with a guy who just got fired for being a bad coach, and was about to take a job at a community college. Wonderful. I was ready to attend basketball games just to throw crap at the guy.

I'll tell you what, though--he's done an amazing job. Yes, it's with Frank's kids...and I don't give a crap. What matters to me is right now, and as I type this, we sit in first place. In March. His team beat Florida, took one from Iowa State, swept Oklahoma, and is about to sweep Baylor. Frank wasn't going to accomplish that.

Yes, his ability to recruit scares the hell out of me. Yes, he passed on Jacob. Yes, he brought us this rough ridin' clown Orris. He's also brought us DJamer, and has been using Williams and Lawrence; in addition, he doesn't pin his very hopes on the whims of one Will Spradling for every victory, and he's benched the hell out of Diaz...all good things in my book.

So, I admit: I was #teamburnitdown. And now, I'm on whatever team is willing to sit down and write this guy a letter of apology because...at least so far...I couldn't have been more wrong about the guy. Right now, this season, he fits a role we desperately needed.

That's it. Longtime lurker, rare poster, but I know how it goes. Post your A) DNR, B) STFU&GTFOOMF, and C) accuse me of being a sock. Whatever. It looks like being a former #burnitdown guy is putting me in the position to eat a crap-ton of humble pie.

the Saluki mascot is one of the best in the country.

Holy crap! A saluki is a werepoodle?

That IS the best in the country! I want a werepoodle too!  :shakesfist:

Oh, I suppose a source is only reliable if Kat Kid deems it so. Please, instruct everyone on the proper art of douchebaggery, so we're aware the what's reported is only accurate if your Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!) ass agrees. TIA

The facts were reported, and simple math can lead you to the answer, kid. Short of that, I can't help you.

We paid Todd Turner $8,000 a day plus expenses for oscar Weber.

kind of doubt that.

You'd be wrong, then. Behold: http://www.kansas.com/2012/04/03/2282939/weber-must-start-from-scratch.html

Highlight: K-State paid $40,000 to consulting firm — For his help during the hiring process of oscar Weber, Kansas State agreed to pay Todd Turner and his consulting firm Collegiate Sports Associates $40,000 plus pre-approved expenses.

http://www.kansas.com/2012/04/03/2282939/weber-must-start-from-scratch.html

"On Tuesday, Weber said all three of K-State’s assistant coaches under Frank Martin — Brad Underwood, Matt Figger and Lamont Evans — will follow him to South Carolina. Director of basketball operations Andy Assaley and strength and conditioning coach Scott Greenawalt have also accepted positions with the Gamecocks."

Gone. Cleaned out the cabinet.

Best of luck...but eff 'em. Thanks, Weber. All the ice cream in the world isn't going to save you now. Hur hur "blue collar" hur hur hur...

12
You won't have to "hope" for Weber to fail. He's a self-starter; he doesn't need your support to fail. Weber will excel at failing in Manhattan.

13
I'll support him! That is, if he turns into a good coach. NOW.

Of course, if he turns into a good coach, he won't be oscar Weber. So then...technically...I won't support him, I'll support a good coach.

My head hurts. First we got Frank'd, then we got Curried...now it feels like the Matrix. Which color pill is the option for, "Screw it, I'll stay asleep" again?  :chainsaw:

Guys...relax. You're getting worked up over "sources indicate," and someone with "male genitals" in their username.

Half the coaches in the country have supposedly been contacted by KSU. Most of the time, this is a trick used by the school or coach for various reasons. For example, a school might leak this kind of garbage for the attention. A coach might use it for a salary negotiating tool. The easiest way to make your boss want you...is to make him think someone else wants you more. Unless your current administration doesn't want you (lookin' at you, Frank), it usually works fairly well.

Currie's a 'tard, but you have to remember that this is his first hire. He's not going to dig up some turd from Clemson. He's (thankfully) just smart enough to know that he needs to hire someone with an impact. Right now, there's very few people available who meet that standard...and none of them hail from Clemson.

This #gottlieb4ksu is picking up steam pretty damn quick. Have faith. Miracles happen...especially when you email/twitter/phone bomb the living hell out of everyone on campus.

lol main exports for kansas and their 65,000 + farmers. Corn and Wheat. lol compared to sc's 21,000 farmers. in a state barely twice as big you have over 3x as many farmers. man i feel sorry for you. and we are poor? hahaha. your dumb ass farmers didnt even realize they filled for aid and grants and were only getting a quarter of a percent of the grant total while other states (including sc) were getting over whole percents. it took 15 years before your dumbasses even complained

Enjoy your welfare, loser.
you mad? lol JAYHAWKS.  dont get mad farmer bob

u mad again.
you are a kstate fan. i feel bad for you

u really mad.
when i get mad i shoot people in kansas from sc. im not mad... youd know

nah, u mad.
Jayhawks. bet that makes you cry. you know... your daddy that never shows you love

Not the kind of love your daddy shows you, I'll bet. Maybe a purty mouth runs in the family...  :dunno:

16
This guy's preparing for the job.

People in Doug's position...especially smart people...don't do that just because they're "dreaming" of being a coach. There's something to this.

 :ksu:

17
Why not just hire him anyway? Not being able to recruit at all for 2 years and then having a ton of success is way better than being able to recruit terrible players for 6 years and destroying the program like everyone else is going to do. I just don't get it.

Sorry, that's just not THE K-STATE WAY.

Eff him; he wouldn't know the "K-State way" if it jumped out of the woods and raped him.

The "K-State way"? I know what that is, damn it; in football terms, it's where we accept either Snyder, or everything before him. Don't take us to the rough ridin' edge, and then break down...year after year after year.

In basketball, the "K-State way" is get us back to an Elite 8-style program, or just dump some nut like Asbury back on us. All or nothing. Stop getting us close, pointing out what we could be, and then laughing maniacally as you turn us back around and kick us in the butt.

I don't give a crap what Schulz said; if he wants to prevent a potentially armed uprising, he'd better damn well consider HCBP. If Currie doesn't want to get turned into Swiss cheese by angry wildcats armed with pitchforks, he'd better damn well consider HCBP.

If we get some douche like Boyle, Jank, Henson, et al...burn this [redacted] to the ground. Scatter the ashes. Dance like wild injuns around the flames while the band Wabash's its ass off.  :bang:

18
CC, did you see our larry brown / pearl idea? Omg wow! Amirite? Pass that onto schulzy ASAP please.

yeah, the trash can thing is behind us (although we reserve the right to turn around and use it if necessary).

Here is our focus:

1) Pearl/Brown
2) If Pearl/Brown happens, party like you've never partied before, forget about the silly frank incident.
3) If Pearl/Brown doesn't happen, burn down Bramlage with everyone in it. Start the fire with found trash.

Check the trash for receipts first. Keep everything at the lowest level possible, before Currie gets his slimy little paws on anything.

19
You expect someone from South Carolina, with the name "shootmeup," to actually understand something?  Come on. Seriously.

SC fans...all 14 of them...also apparently don't understand the meaning of putting lipstick on a pig. Or, in this case, putting an bad person on a male genitals.

Frank = bad person. South Carolina basketball = male genitals. Those retards could have Jesus as their HC, and still finish in the cellar. They'll just have to find out the hard way.

20
I'll miss Frank demanding loyalty from all those around him, while giving absolutely none in return.

The only reason I want Frank back is so we can FIRE his ass...the way it SHOULD have happened.  :shakesfist:

21

 :opcat:

Tell me you made this disgusting garbage, and it wasn't something from SC. I know Frank loves being a male genitals now, but JFC...

22
"Gamecock Nation."

Good luck with that, bad person.  :shakesfist:

Does the inside of his hillbilly walkie-talkie say, "I Love NASCAR"?

You joking?  Did they not have contractions back at your one room mud school?

What a destitute bunch.  Thoughts and Prayers my old racist friend.

"One-room".

"dumb-ass racist"

Nope; that one's just "dumbass".

Put what you think is correct... and then do the opposite.

I was mocking you and you didn't get it.  You have to be used to that though.

No, I got your point; I just ignored it (you didn't get that) because I have a hard time accepting criticism from someone who obviously can't correctly critique things he actually put effort into doing.

If you're going to tell someone how to use our language, you may want to make sure you know how to use it first.

You must have felt confident in your abilities to critique if you did it. So, by default, I'll assume you have no idea of most of what you speak about. I already knew, but it's good to have further proof.

That's how I know Mississippi is a third-world state: They end sentences in prepositions, and then try to judge the grammar of others.

How's the game going?  :ksu:
