    King of the Mountains
Yes.

Lyrics to All My Ex's Live In Texas :
Chorus:
All my ex's live in Texas
and Texas is the place I'd dearly love to be
but all my ex's live in Texas
and that's why I hang my hat in Tennessee

Rosanna's down in Texarkana
wanted me to push her broom
Sweet Eileen's in Abilene
She forgot I hung the moon
and Allison's in Galveston
somehow lost her sanity
and Dimple's who now lives in Temple's
got the law looking for me

Chorus

I remember that old Frio River
where I learned to swim
but it brings to mind another time
where I wore my welcome thin
By transcendental meditation
I go there each night
but I always come back to myself
long before daylight

All my ex's live in Texas
and Texas is the place Id dearly love to be
but all my ex's live in Texas
therefore I reside in Tennessee

Some folks think I'm hidin'
It's been rumored that I died
but I'm alive and well in Tennessee

I don't think he has ever sang a bad song.  There should be a radio station that plays only george strait songs all day long.

Went and saw him in concert. He is such a cool guy. I agree I don't think he has ever had a bad song, but when I went and saw him in concert he did not even do All My Exes Live in Texas

Used to hate him...the realized he is an icon. Plus the the ultimate cool cowboy.

Still bugs me he doesn't write any hardly any of his songs. Oh well...minor detail.

this is a major detail for me. he doesn't write his songs. don't think he plays an instrument. might as well dress a robot computer up in black clothes and program them to talk/sing country songs. i mean seriously, what separates this guy from billy bob who did lead vocals in the band "rock a fire explosion" that used to play regularly at showbiz pizza back in the 80's? nothing. nothing is what.

possible pic of clint performing at his latest concert below. can't tell 100%. pic is kinda blurry....

He prally has the best ear for songs than anyone in the business, damn good singer, and does play the guitar btw. Its like a rule in country music.

    Gettin' angried up!!!
Conway Twitty is way better

Ironically, pretty sure George justed passed Conway for the most number one singles (of any genre) of all time.  Or something along those lines.  They had a pop question type of thing on the radio, asking who George passed for that record.  I assumed Elvis or the Beatles, was surprised Twitty was that prolific.  Knew he was pretty big time, but didn't realize he was that big time.

Also, Geroge Strait was the first concert I ever attended.  Faith Hill  opened up for him and we scored fourth row tickets (for free!) from the dad of the chick my buddy was banging at the time.  I think Faith had like 2 singles at that point, (she was still rocking the hairspray bangs) but still lovely.

I'd say "Check yes or no" "The Chair" is a classic as well. IMO

You can't be racist and like basketball.
Little known fact:  music snob michigancat LOVES George Strait.  My first favorite song was "All My Exes", and I sing it to my girls every night when they go to bed.

I think most of his new stuff kind of blows, though.  Sometime after Pure Country he just kind of packed in and started putting out stuff to get a paycheck.  He was way better when he was covering bob wills and stuff.  /snob
