Del, I will worry about coordinating the forward pass plays. Your job is to sort out my medications and give me a reminder of when it is time to take them. I take 2 blue pills at 6:00 am, 1 red pill at 7:43, 3 green pills at 9:00, 1 yellow pill and 2 more blue pills at noon, another red pill at 2:52, 3 more green pills 4:00, I break up 1 white pill and snort it at 6:30, and 2 more blue pills at 9:00. None of these pills can be even a minute late, so I'll need you to stay in your office from about 5:30am-9:00pm. I will provide motivational literature for you to read.

These young colored men used to be so respectful and courteous.  Now they walk around like they hurt their legs and constantly yell street slang at each other.  You can't win like that.

I do not think our defense gave up 24 points.  We let them run one in, and the other turnover set up a score.  So I would say we gave up fourteen or seventeen points defensively.  I wanted to see our defense play well, and by and large we gave up some yardage, but our defense was on the field so long.  We had the time of posession in our favor, but at the same token, there were many three and outs, which was an issue last week.  This week we threw reasonably well.  Then again when we turn the ball over it negates the positives.  We hurt ourselves with penalties.  The last two games we have had a number of penalties, which puts you in long yardage situations, and we have not been able to overcome it.  Up until that point in time, our offensive line went five consecutive ball games without a penalty.  What’s changing? I do not have the answer right now.  But those kind of things are old school stuff, and penalties and turnovers were probably responsible for what we did today in terms of winning or losing.

I'm not sure why John would ever be upset about my program. We consistently draw better crowds than the baseball team and baseball is America's game. I used to love watching Babe Ruth play.

Most of it was a result of huge plays...When that happens we just don't have people where they need to be. That is our problem. That is our issue. We have to coach them better.

We trust LHC Bill Snyder to consistently find underrated recruits and coach them up into freshmen all americans. Why shouldn't we expect him to do the same with his own staff? He'll coach Cosh up and you'll see the defense improve next year

This thread got a helluva lot better in the last hour and a half...KSU football, not so much.

The forthcoming Leavitt meltdown is hilarious to me. Much ado about nothing. As Jon Wefald said when he reintroduced LHC Bill Snyder as the head football coach at Kansas State University, "Is there any doubt?"

"Is there any doubt that LHC Bill Snyder can't do it again?"

"Is there any doubt that LHC Bill Snyder won't hire a great staff of assistant coaches?"

"Well, is there? Is there any doubt at all?"

What most people fail to understand is that LHC Bill Snyder has an expansive rolodex filled with incredible assistants that would love to come to K-State and work 20 hour days while neglecting their friends and families. Now, you might say: "But most of those assistants are either dead or in nursing homes!" And you might have a point.

Yet still, I ask: "Is there any doubt?"

I understand the disappointment of not getting Leavitt. He embraced the Snyder Way and had great admiration for all of Snyder's legendary coaching philosophies, such as the proper way to butter a bagel. But has anybody stopped to consider the possibility that Snyder feels like he can do better than Jim Leavitt?

There are tons of top coordinator candidates out there just waiting for a call from Bill. Unfortunately for them, Bill has more important things to attend to right now, such as arranging Billy Cosh's transfer to James Madison and public speaking at horse camps. Eventually, though, Bill is going to pick up that rotary phone and start making calls. It will be a national search and there won't be any leaks.

And by the time spring practice rolls around, Snyder will have a defensive coordinator with credentials that would make any K-State fan drool. Two-time Super Bowl champion. Rose Bowl champion. College head coach in a power conference. Long-time coordinator at some of the finest BCS schools in the country.

Remember what Ell did?...I don't, but if I did, and I will try to, I'll stay up until 3 am if I have to, I wouldn't let that happen again, so I'm going to play this white guy over here. He's slow and a poor athlete, but he works to get better every day. He's a fine young guy and those are the sort of young people I entrust my program to. Not because I care about morals, I don't, even though I like to act like I do, just because I'm really old and, to be honest, the game has passed me by, several times over. Will I get it back?...Are you kidding?

i don't know if it's because of how bad the bball team is, the fact that i don't really care about leavitt or the possibility that i suffer from seasonal depression and i recently missed out on my yearly florida trip...but i am just kinda more bummed out about the whole fball situ than i am angry. they've broken me.  :frown:
