explain to me how this works. I can get anything I get on cable at home on my ipad anywhere I can get a data signal?

The link makes it sound like you could only get "basic cable" channel or stuff via antenna.  Is that wrong?

that's a good point, i lied.  you can't get the scrambled channels.

I'm guessing I'd only get the starter & essential channels, with no HD?  All I have are the HD DVR cable boxes from Cox.

I could make this work with my desktop, but I want HD and espnu and stuff.  MIR's been selling me hard on slingbox.

Also, already bought the slingbox ipad app to watch the cats Friday night off MIR's slingbox before finding his is antiquated.

i watch espn (and any other channel i rough ridin' want to) on my ipad by using the elgato eyeTV ios app.  it's like a cheap version of slingbox.

Yeah, it works fine on my Evo. You can download Skyfire and you get the video plugin free for 3 days to test it out. I'm not a huge fan of the browser for everyday use, but it's great for video.
