As far as using chat on a tablet goes:

Twitter beats the hell out of chat during game time.

so far i'm in the "does everything I need it to do" crowd w/ Kindle Fire. Obviously iPad is superior but this will be a good thing to "hand down" to the wife when I do get an iPad.
Where did you get that overnight bag?

So, I'm posting this from the fire.  I like it so far, it's like my phone except it does flash better and has a bigger screen.  Basically what I wanted.  The only thing is that if you want an app you already bought with your phone, you have to pay for it again on the kindle.  I figured you could put in your google account info and you would be able to download all the stuff you already bought.  Will test chat on Wednesday.

Chat is a no go for me.  I get a message that I need to have flash installed, which I already do.  Any idea which version you guys are running?

Go into settings and make sure you have your Flash setting to either "On Demand" or "Always On."

Mine somehow got switched to "Off."

I opened up chat on monday just to see what it would do.  It let me in and it let me type stuff.  Unfortunately, I thought the game last night was actually tonight.  I was pretty pissed when I saw that it was tied 70-70.  Then I turned on my TV to see Iowa State celebrating.   :frown:

So yeah. . . I'll have to try it another day.

Have two Nook Colors running as android tablets in my house.  they are ok.  They freeze up more often than I would like.  However, for the cost, it is tolerable. Other than that they are fine.

I'd get the kindle fire if you aren't worried about a smaller screen.

I got a moto xoom on sale because I wanted the 10" screen.

What version of Android are you using?

Also, I threw Ice Cream Sandwich on my Color the other day. It's very nice. Once it gets a bit more mature, it will be a hell of an OS.

Well I just got a Kindle Fire, they had refurbs on Amazon the other day for 140.  I enjoy it very much, needs a turntable.fm app or at least to work with turntable.fm

The touchscreen is brutally bad.

If you root it, run nook screen recalibration from the market. It helps tremendously.
