Remember Bossi said he was kinda  :dubious: on the Memphis and Alabama offers, but hey he does sound alright.

According to what BP said, expect him to be able to contribute more on defense and the boards early, with hopefully being able to develop more offensive game later in his career.

...My "contacts" say this about Darrell:
is closer to 6-8, than 6-6 [as listed on some places]
borderline Academic Qualifier
not much of a Scorer
Good Rebounder & Post Defender
"not as good as Posts already @ KS"
likely won't contribute until Junior Year

...just what I was told!

Dorrell Johnson had his list narrowed to schools. Tuesday afternoon the talented power forward sliced it to one, when he verbally pledged to Kansas State.

Dorrell Johnson’s decision is in.
After narrowing his list of schools down to Virginia Tech and Kansas State, the 6-foot-8 power forward out St. Louis (Mo.) Parkway North opted to verbally commit to Kansas State.

“I went up on a visit this past weekend and the guys were real nice and coach [oscar] Weber is really good people,” Johnson told Scout.com. “They’ve been recruiting me for a while.”

“The guys were good,” he added. “There’s another kid that’s also from St. Louis that goes there.”

Johnson took an official visit to Virginia Tech as well. He also considered Memphis and Minnesota at one time.

“It was really coach Lowry recruiting me,” Johnson said. “He was at Carbondale recruiting me. Weber came to one or two games, but he wasn’t recruiting me then.”

Johnson was also excited to talk to a student that was involved with construction engineering at Kansas State. He said that conversation stood out to him.

“They are were taking me around their basketball facility and as I was going through the tour I talked to one of the guys that set up the events and he did construction engineering. They had planned and set up everything.”

Lowery210k strikes first on the recruiting trail!

If he's good enough for SIU, he's good enough for us!

Good job, Coach Lowery...

In all honesty I'm ok with this dude taking the Laimonas Chatkevicius scholly this late in the game.  It is what it is.

They both look like major projects.
