Seems a bit ridic myself, but doesn't mean it's false. Just relaying what I know.

seems possible.  but seems more likely that someone is repurposing the cauley's dad played for underwood story.

Your solid gold source either doesn't know the difference between a father and uncle or thinks Cauley's dad played for the chiefs.

It's his uncle, I've met him. He's like 6-10 himself and played some college ball.

KSU not mentioned in following blurb about Henry. Entire update linked below, mentions '13 Chris Walker who KSU has made the Top 8 for but is probably a longshot to land, no mention of Perez Cortesia at Monteverde:

"Demetrius Henry (6-8, 200 lbs) (Northeast HS- Miami, FL) (Class of 2012)

Despite being a great talent, Demetrius Henry has been flying pretty low under the radar on the national recruiting stage. A high-energy player, Henry plays with a sense of urgency every time he steps on the court, which makes him a constant threat. Henry is a tremendous rebounder due to his tenacious approach and uses his entire athletic 6-8 frame to clean the glass. On the offensive side of the ball, Henry has developed a nice jumper that is effective up to around 16 feet. Henry is currently considering offers from a few ACC schools including: Clemson, Florida State, Miami, and Virginia Tech."

Will Shields on BITB talking Cauley.  did not know Cauley is living w/ Shields.

it sounds like he isn't really guiding Cauley in any direction and says Cauley will go where Cauley wants to go.

yeah, he's been living with him all year.  the only person I trust to guide him is himself and his AAU coach whoever that may be.

Update on Cauley from TOS...picked out this quote:

"I'm not a center. I don't like banging down low, so that's not my thing. I like leading the break. I'm a very good passer. I run the floor extremely well, so I'm more mobile than a center."

I watched the Free State vs Olathe NW game tonight on Metro and this kid is a FP.  Does this quote fit with the JYC's?  "I'm 7 foot tall and I don't like to bang"...I'm guessing that attitude will go over real well with Frank, Brad and Mr Greenawalt.

Novel concept there Fuktard, watch a football game to scout a basketball player, you're really ahead of the curve there.

Here's what the static-thinking retards who tried to evaluate his basketball skills by watching him play basketball had to say:

"To put it simply, Cauley’s stock is on the rise. Coaches were buzzing about the 7-footer from Overland Park (Kans.) Olathe NW during our two days in Mequon. What stands out about Cauley is his frame, length, athleticism and ability to run the floor. Toss in that he has a great set of hands and touch in the paint and this is a prospect with an extremely high ceiling. Even as a prospect rated in the 30's, it appears Cauley may be underrated." - Evan Daniels  7/16/11

"An athletic 6-foot-10 center, Cauley is making the move from being a promising prospect to being a legit high level prospect. Talented around the rim as a rebounder, shot blocker and scorer, Cauley also moves his feet well in pick and roll situations on the perimeter and offensively he is a threat to attack the basket from the high post. " - Jerry Meyer 4/12/11

Are you in third grade?  "Oh yeah well you aren't so tough!  I'll bet my brother could beat you up!"  I guess if you can't refute what I said, you go on a personal attack...very childish, but I guess I'm not surprised.  The kid doesn't like to bang (his own words).  He got aligator arms on every crossing route he ran.  He threw a small tantrum when a kid hit him after he dropped a ball.  He shied from contact at every turn.  He's a pussy.  So keep attacking me personally for whatever rough ridin' reason you are doing it, it doesn't change what I saw.

hey fuktard, no skinny hs big likes to get knocked around in the post.  when they get to college, coaches make them go inside to get playing time.  that's how the world works.

How can I refute that he or anyone else is or isn't a pussy?  I generally don't make it habit to question the toughness of someone I don't know.  The problem with you calling him or anyone else a pussy is that you are doing it on a message board.  You had the chance to wait for him after the game and call him a pussy to his face.  So you tell me what constitutes a pussy, some dude calling someone else a pussy on a message board, or a 17 year old stick thin kid who doesn't like getting hit in the ribs?

It's quite telling that you consider what I posted a personal attack, yet you have no problem calling a perfect stranger a pussy.  You're likely too stupid to see the irony and your glaring hypocrisy.

my bad...didn't realize this was a compliments only board.  next time I see the intials FP, TC or any other criticism on this board, I will assume that the insult has been given in person prior to it's use on the board.

btw, the way you would refute anyone NOT being a pussy is maybe actually watching a game.  you likely have never seen the kid play anything, yet you find the need to defend him..you're quite the Robin Hood....grats.   I should also mention that he has awful hands and couldn't catch a rough ridin' cold....come at me now bro.

Edit:  A quick perusal of your message history shows who the hypocrite is.  must be rewarding to be the internet tough guy. you were likely the guy in high school getting locked in a locker during lunch, now you're getting your chance at being mr. tough....grats....keep up the great work!

yeah I know.  he was actually fun to watch play.  looks hilarious running around out there with what appear to be midgets covering him.  they do a very nice job of using his height, especially in the red zone.  they had a really nice half time special dedicated specifically to him.  he said several times that football was his favorite sport and that had he played last year he thought he could have played D1...he also said KSU was the only school that had mentioned the possiblity of him playing both sports.

ya he loves football.  he seems like one of those kids who fell into basketball because his body just never stopped growing.  and you're right his team uses him a lot like the Vikings used to use Moss.  a lot of fade routes in the red zone.  i can't imagine how those 5'10 5A corner backs feel trying to cover that.

Upshaw visiting Louisville this weekend, per various sources. To best of my knowledge, that's his 1st visit among his 4 finalists.

I wonder what Frank is really after here.  Is Upshaw a fall back if Cauley goes elsewhere?  Do we take both?  Cauley mentioned he was NOT a 5, so maybe we take both?  4 bigs (6' 10" +) on the roster would be kinda nice.

We take both.  I see Cauley as more of an athletic 4 that can play off the wing and get up and down in transition.

Upshaw seems like a little taller Luis Colon.  I think he'll be just as raw, as well.
