junior wing Torian Graham back to Word of God with junior small forward T.J. Warren. That should make the Rams the No. 1 team in the state.

not sure why this individual says "back" to word of god.  iirc he played at hillside previously.

may be reading too much into this, but it doesn't seem like a positive development for kstate, if true.

17   Perry Ellis   6-8   PF/SF   Wichita Heights (KS)   Versatile four man with a very high skill level.

36   Torian Graham   6-4   SG   Durham (NC)   Explosive wing with some bigtime bounce.

37   Marcus Smart   6-4   SG/SF   Flowrer Mound (TX)   Doesn’t exactly fit a particular mold, but always gets it done.

While the Class of 2011 is loaded with swingmen, the Class of 2012 could be characterized as “the year of the big man.” Very rarely have we seen a class so dominated with legit posts.  Eleven of the top 16 in the Fresh 50 do the bulk of their damage in the paint.  The class rocks a couple of really nice wings who can get buckets in a hurry, but severely lacks in terms of elite point guards.

From Florida Hoops:

"Shawn Smith – 6’4 WG 2012 Jacksonville Arlington Country Day: With his size, athleticism, and the ability to create and finish, Smith is making a claim as the top player in Florida’s 2012 Class."

When FH last did their rankings in 11/09, they had Smith ranked as the #2 player in Fla for the class of '12, above 5  current members of the Rivals 150. Will be interesting to see those rankings updated, which will presumably occur in November.

his offers have been way better than his ranking, basically forever.  and he got a lot of press for an unranked soph.  it's more of a disconnect than blowing up.

New target, Sherron Dorsey-Walker 6'4" 175 combo G from Detroit, Pershing HS. Ranked 74th nationally by Rivals, recent update from Indiana Rivals site mentioned several schools that had stopped by to see him in the contact period so far, KSU was not among those visitors, we'll see where it goes:

"Michigan reporter:  What schools do you have offers from right now?

Sherron Dorsey-Walker:  “Baylor, Indiana, Dayton, Drake, Western Michigan, Central Michigan, Oakland and Fairfield.”

Michigan reporter:  Aside from those schools, who are some of the others schools that are recruiting you hard?

Sherron Dorsey-Walker:  “Michigan State, Kansas State and Xavier and Michigan.”

 on this one staff, fairly under the radar the kid that I think has some serious game, hope FSU isn't too firmly entrenched as the leader at this point.

I've already posted it but I'm posting it again, highlight vids below

And finally, is mcatt88(mclutts) blowing smoke up our butts again? He reported on GPC that Martin was in KC to watch Cauley today ...

Was just thinking about that, couldn't remember where I read it (even though it was just 2 hours ago).  Confront him with it.

offer may have been over the phone, or through morgan.

if 2012 goes like 2011, kstate will offer a few high profile recruits and a few borderline 150ers.  the 150ers will get nervous and commit early, before the high profilers decide anything.

goodbye, marcus and torian.
