now it is.  this was in the days of the US Mint, and I had been buyin coins when suddenly the program was shut down and I was left in a lurch.   And you're assuming one is only meeting spends on a single card.   i've done as many as 4 cards at a time.

You get it sooner but it usually takes >6 weeks to get it

you can't expect to be able to get unlimited free points with no fees or hassle and I never said you should just run around finding ways to load bluebird everyday.  I was simply saying that minimum spends aren't an issue with bluebird and amazon payments if you're willing to spend a little bit of time.  you don't have to go to wal mart. you can go to dillon's (or wherever you want that sells visa gift cards..and there are a shitload of places that sell visa gift cards).  the highest fee I've seen on a $500 visa gift card is $6.95 and if you use a chase ur card you're getting roughly $9 in points at 1.8 cents per point.  you can buy vanilla reloads at cvs and the fee is only $3.95 and you can reload it on your computer without ever going into wal mart. 

my favorite new trick is to buy the $500 visa gift card at dillon's and use my dillon's card to get 2x gas points for 1,000 points.  then I go fill up my truck and get $1 off per gallon of gas effectively saving me over $20 (plus the 500 ur points) while only spending the $6.95 card fee.  there's a wal mart close to my house so I just stop by and put it on my bluebird on the way home.

I haven't used amazon payments in months and I wouldn't even really need to use bluebird to hit minimum spends (on most churns) but i like to try to hit all my minimums within the first month to get it over with and get the points, but that's just me.  do whatever you want.

Spoke to the MLife people and they said that on the 20th you can request a MLife status upgrade based on your Hyatt status (or vice versa). They said you get targetted for better Vegas hotel deals and stuff if you have status. Will be curious to see how it plays out with thousands of new MLife members with unearned MLife status all of a sudden.

I think most normal people got my point that nobody should worry about hitting minimum spend because there are tools out there...if you need them.

I don't necessarily enjoy it, but I'll take free money if the time/value pencils out.  I have a walmart, dillons and kwik trip all close to my house and each other so it takes me an extra 15 minutes to save about $25-$30. 

also picked up $2,000 in home improvement gift cards the first day that went public so I made 10k points for about 30 minutes of work. free round-trip to chicago.

I think the pain you feel from walking into a walmart may not be the same amount of pain I feel from walking into a walmart. again, to each their own. it's not my thing.
