How Many Credit Cards Do You Have?

I almost used all my Amex MRs recently and was wondering if this was the best use of those points. I'm not sure I've ever used MRs before. I have like 210k and was booking through the portal and essentially getting $2100 toward flights. I didn't end up doing it, but was wondering the whole time if I was doing something stupid. What's the best use of these points?

AMEX travel is ass to work with if you need to change anything. I transfer mine to British but Delta is even better option if you fly skyteam

SFitz - Use a website like Pointsyeah to search for flights.  It will find award flights, tell you which airline points you need, where you can transfer from, and if there are any current transfer bonuses.

TY, I think SD mentioned this a while back but I always forget to check it. I'm normally pretty simple and just fly SW and stay at Hyatt/Marriott.

IHG Premier offering 170k bonus right now. Is this worth scooping up? I've never had an IHG or used their points. I have the Hyatt card and I'm also Marriott platinum but with no points left. Free hotels are free hotels though I guess.

Oh man, that is the dream. I did like 10 years with some years at about 100 nights at Marriott. I'd basically own one if I could have used a Marriott Visa. That rules IPA.

What is the annual fee? If it is like $95, even an annual free night at a random IHG is worth that.

Yeah, unless you either travel a crap ton on your own or are able to use a personally CC for work travel, these high end cards just aren't worth it for most outside a big signup bonus.

Yeah, unless you either travel a crap ton on your own or are able to use a personally CC for work travel, these high end cards just aren't worth it for most outside a big signup bonus.

I've had the CSR for like 6 years and don't really travel all that much anymore so what card should I get to replace the CSR as my daily driver before it renews in december? I'm assuming I will get to keep my 120kish CSR points even if I cancel the card?

Side note I just canceled my SW card so I don't think I can switch to that.

I think there's always been an option to downgrade to CSP, but surely there'd be one now, and i imagine the points would transfer. Depending on timing, maybe just cancel and apply for CSP when you can and get that bonus.

My fee just hit beginning of June so I have a year to see if the new benefits would make the $800 worth it or to plot the best path to CSP.
