my wife just got a card.  if i stack a csr right on top of her card, meeting the both spends might be (depends on travel for work, which i have no control over) hard.  if i wait until march it wouldn't be much of a problem.

if i can trust the the points guy, who seems to be the only one saying you can wait until march, and work up the resolve for an in branch application, waiting is easy.  but even the points guy doesn't claim the march thing is guaranteed, just says "chase has suggested" the offer will be available in branch until march.

Any card offer this lucrative tends not to last. Last week, Chase said it would cut the 100,000-point bonus in half for anyone who applied online after Jan. 12 or in a branch (which isn’t possible for people in parts of the country where there are no Chase branches) after March 12. To be safe, the company suggests applying online by Jan. 11, before it flips the switch the next day.

Tried the CSR again online and denial. 11/24 per the Rep on the phone. Trying a Hail Mary at the branch and fully expect to be denied. Will report back

I'm currently a "Novice" Churner, basically if I read/hear about a card being a great deal I eventually get the card. Just got the Chase Sapphire Reserve before the 100k bonus went away but have no idea what to do after that. Here is a quick run down of my CC situation with a couple of questions.

1. Old Cap One Card with no fees that I have not used in about 2 years, keep it open since its my oldest account (Has a $1200 credit limit LOL)

2. Chase Southwest Card. $99 annual fee? Was primary card before I got the CSR. Have had about 1.5 years.

3. CSR, just got it in early January.

Questions -

Once I hit the 4k spend on the CSR and get the 100k bonus should I keep it or my Southwest card as my basic everyday card for utilities and such?

Is it worthwhile to keep my old cap one card active? Have had it since 2012 but have not used it since I got the southwest card.

What card should I keep my eye on after I get the CSR bonus?

yeah, it's easy to make the case for the CSR or the Plat Amex as keepers if you travel a bit (one, not both).
