How did everyone do this year?  I only got about 4-5 cards this year.  Went to Mexico, CO, and NY.  End of year/current point totals are as followed:

Marriott - 900k
Chase Thingies- 250k
Amex-Thingies - 12k
SW Flight Points- 50k

I probably have some Delta and a couple other random points somewhere.  Pretty decent year for not trying too hard.  I should be able to get a chase or 2 next year and may add to Amex.  I've never gotten any Citi thingies and don't really know what to use them for but I might get some of those to.

just talk to them, it's very easy.  i've gotten cards telling them that i sell snakes, that i buy and sell coins and that i'm getting ready to work as an independent contractor.  some other banks have denied me, but chase never has.

Too bad about Delta.  I'd never tried it but I think via Alaska was a convoluted way to use URs for Delta flights.

I have a friend who just went over 1 million AA. not like 1 million total in his lifetime either. he currently has 1 million AA that he could use. I think he's got all of them just from flying too. absolutely absurd.

i think i get about 75% from bonuses and 25% from spend, but i'm not real sure.

AA used to have a 100k card you could churn like 4 times a year. then it turned to 75k which was sad but oh well.  then to the current 50k. can't churn it like you could. citi used to be prison rules like barclay. I've spent probably a million AA miles in my life as well. every time I fly AA for work I upgrade to first for 15k miles each way.

yup, the glory days.   I just spent 150k on a trip, so I'm down to just under 500k AA.   Still a nice chunk of Avios though...
