Yeah, no idea how it works with people that got the card in Dec or endd of Nov. They will prob help you out if you called I bet. She told me if the SW gift card didn't get credited to just call back and they would do it.

no, I have a $0 statement due January 7. Got the card mid-November. So my first actual bill won't be due until Feb 7.

you may be ok. try applying for the Ink Preferred. It will give you 80k UR points, is a good card for spend, and it won't count towards your 5/24 because it's a business card.

Gosh, the TOC says that I understand this is for a business and not personal use. I don't want to go to jail.

we don't have GE in Omaha yet. We actually did for a short period via Travel and Transport but all the reservations were filled immediately and I didn't get one. only TSA Pre for this guy. 

Have considered on purpose scheduling a huge layover on a work trip at some airport that had it but with lil sd and lil girl sd I doubt I'll be doing much international travelling. and if I do I'll fly first so it doesn't matter as much.

yes, it is.    You can get precheck or GE.   My wife just got hers in Topeka on Friday.   Took 12 minutes.   You can sign up for appointments but also walk-in and wait.

Just got the email that Alaska/Virgin merge is official.  Is it too late for me to sign up for Virgin's reward program and get a credit card and bonus, all for the purpose of eventually combining with my Alaska miles?  If not, link to best bonus?

Yes.  For all of these schemes that I'm aware of, it's simplest to already have the travel rewards account, even if you get it immediately prior to applying for the credit card and it thus has 0 in it, and listing it on the credit card application.

I think I'm gonna get the lesser virgin visa - 10,000 points for $49.  The expectation is that they'd eventually become 20K alaska miles.  I don't think I'd ever be flying on virgin before it all merges, so the extra $100 for another eventual 10K alaska miles plus virgin flying benefits probably isn't worth it.
