yes you can book AA flights with usair miles. it has to be roundtrip but just go to the us airways sight, login, check the book with miles box and go to town.

I guess I didn't know there were different kinds of Amex points. My work requires that I use an Amex for work expenses (plus CostCo), so I'm trying to maximize the benefit, I guess.

Redemptos will probably be used for domestic hotels and flights. Not ideal, but them's the breaks.

SPG Amex. You want a referral? PM me if you do. I'm guessing that 50k is for the gold Amex which get you MR points which are ok but not as valuable as SPG. Either would suite your purposes though.

Crap... I wish I'd seen this. SD I signed up for this and have made the purchase/payment but the 50k points aren't there. How long should it take for these points to show up?

I've mentioned it in this thread before but one time chase called me and asked if I had charged like $40 to a "dating service" in like amsterdam or something. I said no but mentioned that was a pretty cheap date and then we laughed and they removed it from my account and sent me a new card. has to be a tough call to make in case I had made that charge.
