seemed to close pretty well at illinois (maybe on the wrong players).  seems more logical to assume he has inferior assistants at kstate.

He changed his strategy by offering very early.  He got them to commit early and then held on for dear life.  He also focused on in-state talent that the big boys weren't after.  He accepted that those battles were a waste of his time.  The focus was guys in the four star 30-100 range, usually back 50 and of course back filled with a few meh three stars.  Most importantly he added Howard who the youngsters loved.  Neither of them could construct a roster though.  Just chasing the recruiting ratings.  Recruiting to please fans and the administration oscar called it.  He claims he's learned his lesson tho.  Go cats.

He cancelled his IU visit last week.  It won't be them.  He actually visited the other three.  The 247 crystal ball predictos indicate it's an in-state battle.  No Miami picks.

It's so rough ridin' sad. We're done. I hope Pearl is pulling a Huggins and recruiting on the side and Curry leaves for Texas. :crossfingers:

oscar has decided to go after the low-hanging fruit in this class, but he's so damn short that he still can't reach them. After crying for awhile his best bud Gene Keady gave him a cup of chicken nuggets and told him to just pick up the fruit that is rotting on the ground. I guess it's better than not being able to field a team, maybe. I don't see Wichita St. fans too sad during football season though.

The funny thing I find is that oscar is ALWAYS out on the road recruiting.  But, we never get any good recruits.

Texas Christian University coach Gary Patterson has been hired as Kansas State's 34th football coach, multiple sources have confirmed to GoPowercat.com.  Patterson replaces Ron Prince, who was fired Wednesday. - Tim Fitzgerald   Nov, 7, 2008

He is just smarter than most ppl that aren't good at their job.

A great salary with great expense acct and a boss that must be easy to justify said expenses with.

Too bad he sucks.

A really good basketball player.  How does he rank in this category?

just based on purported offers and stuff, discounting slightly for being a juco, i'd consider him weber's second best recruit - if they do get him.

That's encouraging, in a oscar Weber sort of way.
