Hey, is there any truth to the rumor that Illinos fans harbor a particular dislike for KU?  I read it on a different blog, and it caught me by surprise.

Only the tucks.  People that are anti-cheating and anti-winning.  The people that liked oscar.  I hate them still.

So, it's just bumburn about losing Bill?

No.  It goes back before that, they hated Roy and Larry too.  And Lute and Arizona.  Like I said, anti-cheating and anti-winning.  Of course, Self made it personal with the AD at the time.  It allowed him to go full tuck and hire Weber.  They were going to win the right way.

So, these tucks of yours, they pretty much despise all successful programs, then?

The tuck always assumes the reason another program is better than his is because it's cheating.  His program, while losery, is at least honorable.

Guys, clue me in.  I know what a tuck is, but I don't know the etymology of the tuck usage.

KU took Illinois' coach.  Personal between KU and Illinois tucks.  Nothing more.  Context.

Maybe oscar is in a bind, because he's way behind, so he's looking to make a deal?

If Weber were able to land Macura, Mitchell (Alabama), and Burton, that would be really great.  We don't need a PG in this class.

If we can run a couple of guys and get a big and the best player we can get, regardless of position, I'd feel really good about this class.

I give that scenario a 3% chance of happening, though.

At best we will be in Macura 3rd choice behind Minn and Butler (in that order). We have moved on to Troy Holston (South Florida), who I think is a better player. Also we are sitting well with the two guards at hutch. This should be a 5-6 recruit class.

Oh man, they cut away before the end of every shot except the layups.  The video also says he's a 6'9" shooting guard, but shows zero dunks.  Seems a bit incongruent.
