Hey no problem, linked below is a recent article from Mike DeCourcy blasting the "unofficial" process. I think trying to completely eliminate them would be a joke and way too overreaching but I do think the financing of them needs to be regulated much more closely.

Abu, Brennan & Terrell Take Visits

After a major summer that left college coaches wanting more, the 2014 Expressions Elite (MA) AAU trio of Alec Brennan , Abdul-Malik Abu and Jared Terrell took two important unofficial visits on Monday and Tuesday.

As all three have their fair share of offers, the trio visited Maryland on Monday and Temple on Tuesday.

In fact, the Terrapins left such a strong impression upon Abu - the No. 66 player in the Rivals150 - that he said, "Maryland will be one of the schools that will be on my final list. The coaches are great and I like the direction the program is heading in."

Abu is also looking at Michigan State, Boston College, Cincinnati, Rutgers, Iowa State, Penn State, Kansas State, UConn, Miami, Providence, Rhode Island and more.

Terrell, the No. 31 player in the Rivals150 who will head to Brewster Academy (NH) for his junior year, is looking at the similar schools. While they have not been vocal about a package deal, there is always a possibility.

 
Brennan, a big man from Milton Academy (MA), also has attracted major attention from Rhode Island, Harvard, UMass, Seton Hall, Kansas State, Boston College and more.

Blueitt says he's hearing the most from Indiana, Michigan, Xavier, KSU, and Illinois. He's taken unofficial visits to Illinois, Kentucky, Louisville, Michigan and Xavier and plans to visit Indiana for Midnight Madness.

All throughout this past summer, he'd said he wanted to take an unofficial to KSU but unfortunately that didn't happen. It sounds like he had some difficulty setting up all the visits he wanted to take due to his parents having to work on weekends. Hopefully, his visit to KSU can be coordinated once the BTF is completed.

"Dwayne Morgan, SF – Probably the most talented player at the event, Morgan did some very good things. He showed a good ability to handle the basketball on the outside, and is very athletic. His combination of size and athleticism on the wing is quite impressive. He didn’t always dominate at the camp, but the talent level was clear all weekend long."
