Did you guys know that Lorde was actually inspired (kind of) by the KC Royals to write that song? She saw someone in South Africa wearing a Royals shirt and signing autographs, and she thought aesthetically that would work really well with the song she wanted to write.

I misremembered the story, I thought she saw it in real life. She just saw a picture of it.

Hard to say, but signing Vargas likely takes a chunk out of the Royals' potential free agent budget. I think they have real interest in signing Beltran...I still believe they may move Billy to free up some cash.

had a pretty funny convo with a guy that knows some major leaguers including mark teahan and he said that everybody pretty much just lols at butler and doesn't really like him. basically just that he is a dumb hick and all that sort of stuff. like seriously teammates don't really care for the guy.

I think konerko was the other guy and maybe all those guys live in Arizona in the offseason or something. honest to god though i was pretty hamered when he we telling me all this.  anyway, other players don't care for him.
