i read it, kk.  i agree with you that they should sign offense, i'd prefer an of over a 2b if they can only sign one.  also agree that they need to sign one pitcher, maybe two and that they don't necessarily need to be santana and chen (but i'd be fine with either or both at the right prices).

i don't know enough about non-royals players to comment on your names.

86-76.

i'm going to be rooting for our al central bros in the playoffs.  detroit's just a good story with good radio and tv announcers and cleveland's a pretty good story too.  they went 19-2 against non-royals teams in september to make it in (2-4 vs royals in september).  kick their asses, central teams.

i'd also shop moose.  i doubt if you'll get value for him, but if some other team likes him, get paid and move on.

i mean shop everyone, always.  but especially moose.

Pretty good season. Off-season player moves to fine tune this team are essential--let's see if Dayton can pull it off.

He's too chicken to make the move that would improve the team most

I assume he means firing Ned.

If that's the case, I agree. Dayton won't fire Ned unless they get off to a horrendous start next season. That said, I still believe a new manager is required to take this team to the next level.

Great call! Our offense barely scores runs, so eliminate one of the few consistent bats in the lineup. Perhaps a speedy bunt type guy could be our DH?

wil myers finished with a 133 OPS in this, his rookie season. dayton better make all the right offseason moves. if the royals don't make the playoffs next season, it will be one tough pill to swallow.

Dayton will be in the last year of his contract next season. Anything less than what the Royals did this year should get him canned.

Ned is in his last contract year now. It will be interesting to see if he signs on for a multi-year extension if Glass doesn't give the same extension to Dayton. KC Star said a few days ago that some other teams have an interest in Ned.
