It's a loser's mentality to be happy with being close, but Ned and Dayton are probably both happy just to have jobs after how May went. Royals = flood aggie, low expectations, always rebuilding, always a couple of pieces away from being decent, but they'll never get there

You've never been wronger. Most Flood Aggie fans think they've struck gold with Paul Rhodes. Most Royals fans dislike Ned Yost, there were audible boos last Monday at the K when he was introduced. I'm no Ned fan, but I get the sense he's not at all content with where the team ended up.

Do you think Paul Rhodes is happy with where Iowa State ended up last year? Nope, but he's not getting fired and neither is Ned Yost. There are fans that want ned fired, but I still think it's a minority of the fans.

   Santana said in a pre-game interview tonight that he loves KC, his teammates, and the fans and would "love" to stay. Depends on what other teams offer, of course...maybe Santana will be willing to take a little less thatn others offer to stay in a comfortable environment--one that finally has a promising future again.

santana made 13 million this year.  i don't think he's worth that much.  but assume avg salaries inflate next year to the point that 13 million would be approximately fair value.  what are the odds he'd resign for 2 years/26 million?  i wouldn't go over that.
