Favorite moments of the 2013 Season:

1.) Maxwell's walk-off grand slam at the final home game.  It was like 40k people just wanted to party at Kauffman.
2.) #FountainMom. Absolutely one of the funniest things I've ever seen.
3.) Gordon's extra inning Grand Slam in Detroit back in April.

Was blessed to see 1 and 2 live.  I'm sure I'm forgetting many others.

Seeing George Brett back in the dugout, even temporarily, has to make everyone's top 10 favorite 2013 moments.

Good job Royals, you made most of September enjoyable for me. Watching the game Friday night at a bar in Austin was the best sporting event I saw all weekend!

I feel like this GIF summarizes the Royals' 2013 season for me: fun to watch, made me smile, for a while they feinted like they might find a way out of a doomed situation, but ultimately they just got themselves out (of games, of the pennant race) too often.

Even though it involved my least favorite Royal of the last 10 years, Frenchie's game-tying HR at St. Louis in George's first game was pretty damn awesome. Hos followed it up with a GW 2B later in the inning and it ended that gawd-awful 1-12 streak in May.

along the lines of rough ridin' horrible human beings doing great things, Getz hitting his first HR in his entire baseball career (including little league and coach pitch and tee ball) in a 1-0 royals win at Atlanta was pretty awesome

Does this make anyone else really happy when it happens?

I love Sluggerrr so much.  Also, today's game might have been the most fun I've ever had at a game.  8manpick, MiegeCat, MSLH and I had a fantastic time.

glad you got to go

i'll probably cry when it's finalized. the sheer stupidity when we are this close...
