That's how us Royals fans work.  When your a perennial loser you make appropriate changes to what you get enjoyment out of.  In this case, you constantly find ways to see hope only to get crushed.  Then you can have fun with others bitching about Wal-Mart economics, how dumpy Ned should be fishing with Jeff Foxworthy instead of coaching, or how Dayton sucks at drafting even though no one understands how baseball drafts work.

It's the way of life of a Royals fan.

Several of them have looked pretty rough ridin' beat down lately. I half expect Moose to cry after another feeble at bat.

What's going to happen when Dyson comes back, who will start in right field, who will start in center?  :runaway:  :runaway:

I was thinking about that earlier. OBs Cain starts CF but maybe they could platoon Dyson and Lough?

2 questions:

1. Would the royals ever hire rany?
2. Would rany ever work for the royals?

My answers:
1. It would take a GM change and maybe a ownership change before the royals made an offer to rany
2. Every little boy wants to be a professional athlete when he grows up, if he can't be an athlete the next best thing is working for a sports team, especially his favorite childhood sports team. Rany's got a good thing going; writing for grantland, doing some podcasts, being a dr., and owning baseball prospectus and all (this could be a whole thread in itself, but how rough ridin' studly is rany, the guy is a Dr. and a sports writer and a stats super geek   ), but I just feel like if the royals made the right offer and let him have some flexibility as far as where he worked and stuff he would do it. What could be better than being a significant part of helping your favorite childhood team become successful after years of sucking?

Lough's play has made this a difficult decision for the Royals, and it's really more of a roster decision. They have to decide whether to send Lough back to Omaha or to cut ties with Frenchy. Frenchy is playing less and less, but has a bit more power than Lough. That said, Frenchy's greater power means little this year because he isn't displaying it. I look for KC to try and move Frenchy. They need to keep Dyson and Lough on the ML roster, IMO.

My lineup would be Alex Gordon 3rd, Cain LF, Lough RF and Dyson CF. It will obviously never happen because the Royals have 0 management skills. We almost the worst scoring lineup in the American League but lets keep Moose in. :curse:

You would move your gold glove left fielder back to third where he struggled mightily?  That makes little to no sense.

He struggled mightily at the plate when he was at 3B.  His fielding wasn't the problem.  They moved him to LF to clear 3B and to try and jump start him because he was basically on his last leg in KC and they were trying everything.

People thought the same thing when they moved him from the leadoff spot this year and that would "screw" his head up but it didn't.  He's figured his swing out.

I would like him to stay in LF though because I do like his play out there, but I also like Lough and Dyson (if he could continue what he was doing before this injury)

Lough probably is a platoon guy but practically every one on the Royals seems like a platoon guy.

I would rather stick with the relatively hot bats in the lineup.
