is there no stopping these royals?

moose is trying to stop 'em with his horrible play. he hit into a double play to end the inning with a man on 3rd

Why is everybody coming up with crazy scenarios with Gordon at 3rd? why not just stick Tejada at 3rd until moose gets it figured out in Omaha? He adds some power :dunno:

I just don't see what's so crazy about sticking Gordon at the position he was drafted to play.  :dunno: I'd rather have Dyson/Lough in the lineup than Tejada.

Any scenario that involves moving my beloved Alex Gordon out of LF is stupid.

Yep.  All stars and gold glovers don't change positions to make room for some kid named Lough. Or Dyson.

If they are team players, they do. Moose batting under .200 hurts the Royals a lot more than Gordon's gold glove helps.

It has nothing to do with being a team player. You don't move your best player around. Ever. Name one time an all star has changed positions to be a good teammate. Seriously, I would love to hear it.  Gordon has already shown he sucks at third anyway. I don't understand why you can't seem to understand this.

So did Mike Piazza for a little while, when his legs started giving out.  He started out at first before playing catcher.

Its possible you're over valuing David Lough

that was more because he was old balls and couldn't play SS anymore.

I'm not over-valuing Lough. I'm just assigning the correct value to Moose. He's dog crap. He might get better, but it won't be this year.

Chipper played left to make room for Vinny Castilla. (Who would call that a good move?)  He was back at third after two seasons. Brett moved to first in his 14th season because he was slowed by injuries and would soon move to full time DH duties. ARod was nothing special at SS and was traded to a team who already had one of the greatest short stops of all time in the prime of his career.  Sure, old dudes change positions but it's not to accommodate some dude who started the season in AAA, it's because they struggle to play their current position any more.

agreed JT. Another example is Alex letting Eddie play guitar, and Eddie letting Alex play drums. Obviously this one was a success story.

ARod to third from shortstop. Cal Ripken used to play shortstop during the peak of his career- moved to third. Albert Pujols started at third (made an All-Star game their in his rookie season) moved to first.

Dumb talking point.

Pete Rose started as a 2B and won ROY, then moved to the outfield and played all positions and won an MVP, then they moved him to 3rd, then to 1st.

Jim Thome was moved from 3B the year after he won the silver slugger.

Cal was old and could no longer play SS well. Already talked about ARod/Jeter.  Pujols also played LF for awhile because he wasn't very good at third. Now he's a gold glover at first.  Gordon sucked ass at third and is now a gold glover and all star in LF, why the eff would anyone consider moving him?

Darin Erstad won two gold gloves at CF then was moved to 1B and eventually split time between the two.

Placido Polanco won two gold gloves at 2B and was moved to 3B following the last GG.
