Great comeback. On pace for 102 wins!  :gocho:
If you look at the Kenpom, I think it is 111 wins.

Would take!
I like a lot of posters on goEMAW. However, I think _Fan and I would be real life best friends if we lived in the same town. His untuckish optimism is simply wonderful and I enjoy the hell out of that IRL. <not stalker related>

Was mowing my yard while listening to the end of the game. Fist pumped hard at the Butler double to tie it, then even more with Gordon's winner.

I had just gotten back to my house from getting gas for my mower and billy was coming up to bat and I guess I'm still in the old royals mindset so I quit listening and started mowing assuming they would lose. How do you listen while you mow _FAN?
I'm purple down

the royals winning 17 of every 27 games is lots of fun, my whole afternoon and early evening were brightened today.  i hope they win 17 of 27 all season long.

Yeah.   Being good at baseball is fun.   They play all the time and its a long season.  And you can do other things during a game.   Perfect spectator sport

Starting to get frustrated with attendance. You should get more than 20k for weekend games.

Me too bones. Me too. They were my first love. I wore a Royals footie pajamas as an infant. I went to the '85 victory parade and got real cranky and made boom boom in my stroller. Went to every opening day from 91-01 and several more since. I love those goofy bastards.

Weather has been shitty most of this season, hopefully attendance picks up when the weather improves a bit.

2 consecutive Friday night buck nights rained out. Its been awful weather. The attendance will be great in time.

i stopped for a few seasons because i was so frustrated.  prior to the beginning of this season, i saw the error of my ways, and like the prodigal son, i've returned home.

The mornings are easier to wake up to when I know the Royals are contending. I get the feeling this summer is going to be special.

I was pissed at Gordon for having a really shitty game....and he totally redeemed himself!  These guys are fun to watch.  Oh, and Guthrie's impression of Hud is fantastic!  These guys are winning my heart.

about 1:50 in is the Hud impression.

Someone needs to check the Royals for PEDs.  They all look like a bunch of smelly roiders.

more like royLOLs: champs of April!  :shakesfist:

The Chi Sox are likely the only clean team in the league.  If we didn't have a string of unlucky injuries we would be right there!

I was born in 86 and I never realized how big the Royals were in KC back in the 70's and 80's. It wasn't until my gpa passed away and my great aunt moved to a retirement home and passed on all their royals memoribilia to me and I was blown away by all the random crap they had.

My great aunt was a secretary for some big shot at KC Life and would get invited to parties with the K's from time to time, Mrs. K gave her a silver platter with the KC Royals crest ingraved in the middle that is super cool.

Here is a quick breakdown of the other stuff I recieved

-85 World champs windbreaker(Already mentioned)

- About 20 Different button's, some have to do with I-70 series, others just say random Go Royals stuff

-Ticket stubs from playoffs and WS

- A couple baseballs autographed by random royals teams and one autographed by the 1977 yankee's(Checked the value online and its worth like $800  :surprised:)

- Cook Books featuring the favorite recipes of the wives of royals players and managers(Autographed by the wives :dunno:)

- Shoeboxes full of newspaper clippings and magazine's with the royals on the cover. I framed a couple of the WS Champion editions and have given away 2-3 other framed WS Championship Newspapers as gifts at weddings and birthday parties.

- A framed chunk of astroturf from the 80's and early 90's.

- A huge felt baseball poster that says "Bo Knows"

- All the opening day team magazine/programs from about 77-93

- A couple of trinkets from the first game at the K and the first all star game at the K.

-Commemorative beer steins from each division title/AL Pennant/World Series
