Holland is pretty bad when he's not throwing strikes.

High Baseball IQ here.

Holland is awful.  You can't rely on a closer who can't throw strikes.

frenchy ruined the no-no

 :bang:

A) shields already had given up a walk, so it wasn't a no-no
B) frenchy's error was ruled an error, so it didn't ruin the no-hitter
C) Wise got a hit to ruin the no-hitter in the next inning

i'll be polite about this.

a) a walk maintains a no-hitter
b) frenchy had made an error in the previous inning on a routine fly ball. the play i'm referring to was not routine thus not an error, but should have been made.
c) if frenchy makes the play the entire universe is altered thus we never know what would have happened had he made that play that a major league outfielder should make.

Oh sorry I am trying to watch on gamecast and probably should have just decided not to post

in our defense, we are severely inexperienced when it comes to relevant baseball

Our bullpen sucks.  They don't throw strikes.  I'm done believing that it's a "strength."

We definitely need to find a legitimate closer at the trade deadline for our playoff push.

I look at a game where we lost 2-1 in the 11th, and I do not think "our bullpen sucks"

I look at having 16 HRs, and think "we need to hit home runs or find someone who can"

What's wrong with thinking both of those things?

because 1 of them is not true  :dunno:

I mean, we have the 2nd lowest ERA as a team in the AL. If our bullpen sucked it would be higher.

We have by a crap load, the fewest HRs in the AL (16). Cleveland has 40 for Pete's sakes.

There are 105 players in the MLB that have more HR's than a Royals player. Just let that sink in.
