Our run support for James has been awful, but I think the Ace of every pitching staff in the MLB understands that they will be going up against the other teams Ace every game.

That's really only true for opening day and the playoffs. Every team's schedule is unique so they don't always match 1 v 1, 2 v 2, etc.
