Anyone see Rob Riggle on SportsCenter? I know hes not EMAW but still was praising the Chiefs/Royals.

He's hosting the ESPY's if I'm not mistaken.
I think what my friend Mitch is trying to say is that true love is blind.

Royals drew a perfect time to play the Rays.

This. Couldn't have been a better time

Why isn't he getting more all-star love?  I'm pretty sure I saw he has the highest BA of any AL SS and usually has a highlight defensive play every game.  Pretty amazing for a guy that was an offensive liability last year.  He's also raised his slugging percentage from .343 last year to .427

I love 'cides

He has potential to be a great if he can keep making strides with his game. If he keeps this recent power surge up ...  :horrorsurprise:

Speaking of power surge, 9 home runs in the last 4 games for KC.

So who's the Royals All-Star(s)(!)?

Will we actually get a position/DH player this year? Or just the usual Bullpen guy?

Hoping Escobar or Billy personally.

should be alcides, moose or billy but will be broxton and that's all.

:popscollar: he's my favorite player. plays like a dream in the field. and honestly, i never understood everyone freaking out about his bat last year. his swing was always sound, he has no problem taking pitches the other way and his combined minor leage BA was .298 or .300. He actually had better stats at AA and AAA than in the lower levels. but i am pleasantly surprised at him being well above .300, i figured he'd be a .280 guy.

So Jeter will win the fan voting I assume, and do managers still select the reserves?  If so, that could be good for Escobar...

In the AL they get to pick 8 players on top of the fan and player picks but he has to consult with other managers and the league office. I heard Ron Washington wants Tim Collins so I'm not sure if that will hurt Escobars chances or not.

What hurts his chances more is that Washington's own SS deserves All-Star consideration himself

Buster Ohleny said we only need our starters to go 5 innings because our bullpen is so good.  Or something like that.

So, there's that.

Also, Perez was called back up to the majors.  I think if we can average +6 runs per game, we should be fine.
Pretty sure you were being funny, but since your post, Royals are averaging 5.8 runs per game and they are 3-3 over the period. Great call on your part...need to score a little bit more so they can be better than .500 the rest of the way.

Did Bubba go all Hosmer and quit twitter?

Unrelated, Over/under career Bubba HRs in the majors?  I'm putting it at 2.5 and taking the under.

Royals win 6-3.

First winning record in May since 1994.

Split or won last 5 series with Division opponents.

Now, if we just had another solid starter.......

That was a pretty brutal schedule this month.  June looks to be a pretty pud schedule.  I wouldn't be surprised to see KC go 5 or 6 games over .500 during the month.

Butler is representing KC in the All Star game. I think KK said the other day that Robinson Cano would choose whichever Royal was selected to the ASG to be in the home run derby.
